Mark thinks The Blind Side's subtle uncertainties makes this tale of housewife heals social ills, far more ambiguous that its made-for-TV saccharin appearance

That clip is possibly the worst clip I've heard on a Kermode review. I wanted to stop it within the first 2 seconds.

Jesus, it's watchable for a TV movie when you have absolutely nothing else to watch, but cm-on. this film was nominated for the best picture?! to this day and forever after I will never believe that that really happened. Shakespeare in Love or Chicago "oscar scandals" are nothing comapared to this.

The Barney the Dinosaur tangent was brilliant!

I loved the movie. I don't understand what people have against sweet things. Life is tough and people can be horrible so that is a good reason to celebrate good, kind people. I have this movie on standby to watch when I am feeling down.

Because it's a lie and condescending and patronizing and exploitative. Her "niceness" is totally self serving and has nothing to do with what the person she's "helping" really needs

It was only when free agency happened that these big guys started to get paid millions of dollars. Until then they got chicken feed compared to the flashy positions. Your QB cannot play if he genuinely is scared of getting crushed any second.

The film may feel long in parts, however the film’s still A well acted, emotional, well directed & intriguing biopic. (79%) (4/5 stars) (positive)

"What's so funny about peace, love, and understanding", was an Elvis Costello song, wasn't it?

@DodgerRiley I hate to have to defend this terrible movie, but it actually addresses that point directly. In fact it spends the last's 30 minutes addressing that point. I think a better question is when are we going to stop abusing the word racist.

Why is Mayo obsessed with the size of Kermode's hand?

Brilliant movie. Some people said that Sandra Bullock didn't deserve that Oscar. I don't agree. She was impressive and charming here. Quinton Aaron, Tim McGraw, Jae Head, Ray McKinnon were great as well. The whole film was very deep, personal, emotional & touching. Just like "In Love and War" (1996), "A Time to Kill" (1996), "Hope Floats" (1998), "Crash" (2004), "The Lake House" (2006), this film proves that Sandra can act dramatic roles brilliantly well!

"Thanks to Lawrence Taylor..." Lawrence Taylor may have gotten left tackles the recognition they deserve, but he is a druggie who likes teenage girls. Too bad the Blind Side was made before Lawrence Taylor went all crazy.

I came to this video hoping to hear Kermode just ripping it from beginning to end. It was one of five worst movies I have ever seen. There was nothing redeeming about it.
