Who is listening in 2023 ? :)

It boggles my mind when I realize: 1. This album has no bad songs 2. This was their debut album 3. It was released 22 years back 4. They went unorthodox with Rap-Rock WITH a DJ in the mix. IMO this combination will be difficult to execute well even today, more so 22 years back. 5. Almost every other song in Hybrid Theory still holds relevance, both lyrically and musically. You won't be missed Chester, or Linkin Park for that matter; you'll forever be in our hearts and souls. \m/

It's rare that I would listen to an entire album and not skip a single track. This is one of those instances.

As a child I was introduced to Linkin Park by a slightly older friend and liked the songs since then, but he recently passed away of cancer at the age of 33. Now these songs hit really hard on the feelings

My mom got me this album when I was 5 or 6 years old. I would spend time in my bedroom doing air guitar and singing to it while jumping on my bed. It was a great escape from reality and the hardships of my childhood.

Pretty sure I was 6, I'm 29 now. I found this album at a jockey lot (flea market) the artwork on the cover called to me and I begged my parents for $6.99 to buy it. Played it on my CD Player constantly and even though I really didn't understand the lyrics, The imagery painted from the emotion alone gave me a sense of peace and chaos, push pull, ying yang, and still to this day its a rush of nostalgia that reminds me of the wonder of youth and really helps put myself back together. It will follow me to the grave.

Music is life to me. A goth , a thrasher , a street punk, a thug , a gang affiliate, a jazz man, disco, techno, you fucking name it, i fucking loved it in some way. (I am a juggalo as far as the music i do myself.) And you know what? I always find my way back to this album. Its a deep meditative thing....like its my origin album or something.....it triggers a feeling , like i am every age at once, or every experience ive ever had at once or everything at once. "Cure for the itch" is the sum of this feeling.....this thing that i am....that we all are?.....Im off to have another drink before bed. Goodbye. ❤

I will die on the hill that Hybrid Theory and Meteora is one of, if not, THE best back to back album releases by a single band in the history of music. There is not a bad song from start to finish, and so many phenomenal ones.

So much nostalgia. Back then, they would have laughed me and they said often LP makes shitty music. Boy if they knew what we have right now. I was 8 when this masterpiece released. Now I'm 32 and I still listen to them. But my fav album is Minutes to Midnight by far.

My Nephew introduced me to Linkin Park fin 2000, 23 years ago, and this album literally got me through my 20's and 30's. it still resonates in 2023. Legendary band

Mixing genres like this on a debut album and being this damn good is sooo rare they made music that had 0 existing fanbase and BUILT that fanbase and 20+ years later that fanbase is still here... thats an absolutely monumental feat of talent

i havent been able to listen to linkin park since chester's death. last night i finally sat down w my gf and listened to this album. i may have sobbed a lil but i truly missed listening to them, slowly but surely ill finally be able to listen to their whole discography again

Many bands have come and gone in my life, in my list of favorites, but only one stayed consistently since I heard them in, probably, 6th grade. Resonates in every way a group of musicians could and should. It's sad I never got to seem my dream come true; never saw them live, and I so wish I could. I so wish that news was just a rumor, and that tragedy never occurred. All I can do is keep listening and keep remembering every moment of life, every second of music Linkin Park has made me cherish. Today, tomorrow, and forever, you will be my favorite music.

When Chester passed away in 2017 I was 9 years old. My brother showed me about it and at the time I was a huge prick and I called the band just edgy trash and that I didn't care he passed away. I'm 14 now and this is has been my favorite band as of late. Getting me through some of my toughest times lately. RIP Chester Bennington. I'm sorry for throwing your talents and impact on the world away.

Hybrid Theory came out when I was in middle school and this CD along with Pokemon Red on my Gameboy Color got me through so many bus rides and family trips. It'll always hold a sense of nostalgia.

This is my shit! I've been jamming to LP since I was like 11 or 12, about to be 34! My wife and I were lucky enough to see them in concert twice during the project revolution tours in 2007 and 2008, both being in the summer after my senior year, and again after hers! Oh, the memories we have for the rest of our lives!

I drove myself to the hospital on Saturday 2/3/24. I had my lil old Pomeranian with me. I was having active contractions/going through labor with my baby daughter. Got to the hospital dilated at a 6, gave birth to my beautiful girl 2 hours later. 💛🥰 Listening to this album during those contractions just felt so right, but so random The softness of Chester’s voice mixed with the intensity of the screams. It helped me breathe & focus & feel stronger. I used to listen to this in high school all the time 20 years ago while driving. Throughout my adulthood this is such a great nostalgic album to listen the whole way through. More recently with Chester’s death & him exposing corruption…I’m exposing corruption in my personal life as well. I’m halfway through my 30’s. Heavy was the unjustified “snuff out” of righteousness. I remember when I was 15, I got this album from Walmart, and it was a HUGE part of my teen years. Alongside Godsmack, Disturbed, KoRn, and Slipknot, 2000's music was pretty much unbeatable.

Acabei perdendo meu irmão pra um ataque do coração maldito, e esse álbum tem sido uma das coisas que mais me ajuda a continuar tem anos. Um dos meus objetivos é conseguir uma tatuagem desse soldado libélula, porque eu quero carregar tudo que esse álbum significou pra mim comigo para sempre. Admito que na parte do "the sun goes doooown" da Papercut eu começo a chorarkkkkk mas fazer o que, não posso esconder o que sinto.
