Note this was the first Championship game played in Croke Park under Floodlights. Floodlights turned on for the second half due to weather conditions.

The best game played in Croke Park in the decade. I witnessed it live as a Kerry supporter and I hope that Joe Kernan can bring Galway back as it is a joy to watch Michael Meehan in play and it will be a SIN if this man does not win an All-Ireland medal in his carrer. To more Galway-Kerry epic battles in Future and to true vintage football
