@InsaneXboxer4 жыл бұрын
@Lucas Arthur I always had that impression of bts, and some other big Korean boybands. I don't know a lot about that genre at all, so correct me if I am wrong, but to me they don't appear to be very organic groups. They seem very 'put together' or 'forced'? Idk, that's how I see it.
@InsaneXboxer4 жыл бұрын
@Lucas Arthur I see. That doesn't surprise me at all.
@asdfzxcv123454 жыл бұрын
Gilles Coeymans group members aren’t friends that form the “band”. Large management companies/ labels hold auditions which attract thousands of applicants. from those, they hand select the group members based on what theme or gimmick is envisioned for the group. after auditions, applicants that have been picked are contacted and only after that do they meet their group mates. it’s about as inorganic as it gets. it’s simply and industry, like hollywood.

‘Inspiration is like roots on a tree’ *hand gestures going laterally melding into each other* Lean lowkey referencing Deleuze’s theory of the rhizome
@valeriantakashiseethaler15033 жыл бұрын
maybe from his parents, deleuze is from the 60s after all. most definitely like a Swedish counterculture kid. they where also very radical 60 years ago. all the talk is not so new, only that we spread it. and lean is very postmodern, like an application of deleuzian theory. also lean doesn't believe in improvement (maybe like only when he personally developed, getting rid of drugs, being more true to oneself) which is also quite deleuzian, more like creativity, potential and not so much evolving to do "the right" and "the wrong", so like deleuze based on nietzsche, based on Schopenhauer, based on Kant. When leaving christian thought-structure, when leaving duality it's at the same time is also like Sanskrit or aztec mythology, where it's non-dual. I think the part where we hit christianity or abrahamitic thought structures was like a wave. coming and going. and we be part of the ocean. the deleuze thing would be an explanation to the weird all over the place style of the leandoer. just rhizomatic flows of desire, actualization of potential. I think the important part is though the emotional stuff. the feels. real feels below the surface.

Lean is such a genuine and fascinating dude to watch talk about/ do anything. I swear weather it be him making his clothes talkin bout his insperations or his process of the grind he never once came across as anything he isn’t. This dude really like the definition of anti everybody while being for everybody. Love it. Everyone teased me and my buddy for listening to ginseng strip and wearing clothes like him or rocky and then 2 years later everyone wanting to be rocky and knowing young lean got a travis verse just cause of his production value alone which was a huge thing. I could go on so long but if you stuck around this long thanks, know it was for the love of all the cool weirdos still pullin hoes.

Yung Lean got me into the underground scene in 2013.. If it wasn't for him I probably would've never discovered a lot of my favorite artists. Dude is a legend.

Kerwin Frost is such a beautiful soul and he's a super cool man, you could say that he's a Superman, or even the Supercoolman! I would have loved to have been his friend if we were kids in the same school.

I got into drain gain and lean when I was in 9th grade(2017ishh) because of my best friend who listened to them since middle school, since then he’s been a big part of my life and has really changed my life
