So that ring on the turban is supposed to be made out of iron and it is use as weapon whenever needed but also a kind of accessary that we wear. Our accessaries are not made out of gold or diamonds.....but pure iron which gives us strength and courage.....its just incredible experience.

The movie takes place in Afghanistan when the British empire was at its peak. The Sikh gentlemen here are part of the British Indian Army or commonly known as the east India company. They were called from Punjab and stationed in forts of British occupied of what’s modern day Afghanistan. The 10,000 people were were local tribesmen who had come together to rid of the British presence. Their goal was to take control of 3 different forts, they choose to attack this particular Fort because it was the furthest away from the other forts and was only manned by 21 Sikhs, they wanted to completely isolate the Fort by cutting the path from the other 2, which they did. However the Sikhs refused to surrender, its reported that they killed at least 800-1000 tribesman before they were overpowered, but since it took the tribesman so long to gain control, the British had time to call for back up, and thus halting the tribesman. The battle itself was witnessed through a telescope by a British officer stationed at one of the other 2 forts

I loved this reaction video, probably the first reaction video I ever watched, I guess. Kesari does a fine job in demonstrating what happened in the war, however, it is not 100% based on how the war was fought and has been dramatised a lot. If you really want to know what happened before this war and what tactics were used to fight 10000 mughals, I would suggest the show Netflix made called “21 Sarfarosh”. It is highly detailed and perfectly describes the importance of Saragarhi fort, how did it used to communicate with neighbouring forts, and the events that led to the war. It is 65 episodes long and a bit slow paced but anyone who wants to have a detailed understanding should watch it.

The battle was that the persians wanted to conquer 3 places of india and this place where they chose to attack firstwas low guarded as it was not to protect but was used to communicate between the other two places and the persians claimed that they would conquer all the three places by evening but these 21 sikh soldiers held all of their force till evening until which the other places knew about the attack and gathered there forces and were able to defeat the persians

That circular weapon on his turban is called Chakra or Chakram . Our Tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji Maharaj ( King of kings ) use to wear this Chakram on his turban . It's till date worn and used by Nihang Sikhs ( Sikh warriors of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji ) in their martial arts known as Gatka .

They were able to hold their position for whole day until backup arrived but they themselves got martyred.

This isn't just a movie. Its all about history. Although they loose this fight but it took a whole day any they loose most of their army and they decided to went back rather than going going further.

Their task was to stall time for reinforcements and get the next outpost ready for this suprise attack.

True part of history , all 21 soldier died but killed 650 of opponent army. Attackers were planning to win all three army bases in one day , but 21 Sikh soldiers hold em up for whole day.
