Thanks for explaining saag is the nonvegetarian version of palak paneer. I love PP, so I'm sure this will be the bomb too!

Well actually Saag generally refers to spinach or a couple of other green leafy veggies but mostly palak. So if you say Saag Paneer that's the same as Palak Paneer. If you say just Saag it means you are asking for a plain spinach gravy.

What a beautiful dish! I can imagine how aromatic and flavorful the sauce is with all the spices you added. Is this dish only made with chicken or can you use other proteins as well?

Well in India it's only made with chicken/mutton (goat meat) or probably fish. You can always try it with Lamb or Fish I think, those are more suited to this.

It's kind of a mix of all of that. I spend a lot of time just watching cooking shows and stuff and I also take into account what's in the supermarket, what I want to make, etc etc. But a lot of this stuff I've made for the first time on the show itself. Like this recipe. I've never made it before in my life :)

Saag Paneer was my introduction to Indian food. This is going in my keto rotation. I have discovered a love of dry masala dishes. Is there a basic formula I can use to make a zuchinni fry that is similar to Aloo fry since I cant have it anymore?

yeah, always start with oil, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and then stir fry add the zuchinni and then the masala's like chilly powder, tumeric, garam masala and coriander powder and finish with coriander/cilantro

Made this for dinner tonight. Admittedly, I was skeptical ...who measures liquid in grams? My mistake bc this guys delivers. The hub’s fam is from India, so I know my way around Indian cuisine, but this has to be the best flavor for the least amount of effort of any Indian dish I’ve ever made. I had zero hope our 10-year-old son would even touch it. Not only did he not complain when I put some on his plate, but he ate his whole serving and complimented it several times. Will definitely be looking to this channel when meal planning. Thanks !!

Another AWESOME recipe...\m/ "horns up" \m/ !!!! I do have a question. We have made a few of your recipes, here in the US, and our "heavy cream" is different from what you use. A lot thinner. Where I live in South Carolina, we have several "Indian" grocery stores that sell many products, including paneer and cream, and I was wondering if you could advise me on a type I could purchase at the store. I know you may not be able to site a specific brand; but if you could guide me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks and take care.

hey Dixie, your American heavy cream is fine for all these recipes, you just will need to cook it a little longer so that the water content is cooked out a bit. However my cream has 25% fat so it's macros are not as good as what you get which is mostly 30-35% fat.So the brand I use is AMUL. There is no need however to substitute with what you are using. If you can let me know what cream the Indian store has I can advise if it's worth trying. Paneer is always good !

I follow you like a god, your recipes are awesome, one question about your nutritional info on your page, I put the numbers in my carb manager but I never know what the serving size is,,,, is this something you can change or help with. Btw I’ve lost 14 pounds following you thank you. I’m in Texas USA

I generally mention how many servings. So now if you made this dish for example where I used 4 full legs and it says 4 servings that means 1 leg + 1/4th of the sauce = 1 serving. The division and portioning out you need to physically do yourself. Which is why I always recommend getting a scale at home. So for example if you make my broccoli cheddar soup, weigh the soup after it's fully ready, if my recipe says 4 servings then divide that soup weight by 4 and separate it into 4 portions equally and you'll have the serving. Hope this helps.

Havent had Indian food in over 20yrs. I was not a fan. Did not like how curry tasted. I am Dutch Indonesian so I love spicy food. Curry is Not spicy to me. This looks delicious! 😋 I dont have all of these spices so I need to get them and try this....
