It's like Yelp reviews. Most restaurants and such are not nearly as bad as their rating suggests because satisfied customers don't hop on Yelp to say as much - only the 1% who had a bad experience do.

I understand what you're trying to say although I think that analogies a bit flawed. I think a better analogy would be like a Yelp reviewer going out of their way to review one particular restaurant and only saying the bad things about it, and never about the 99 other things that were fantastic. I can understand writing a bad Yelp if the experience was mostly bad, but if you have a mostly good experience, why would you only talk about the one bad thing? That's what it feels like he's describing. If you're talking about fame anyway, why don't they at least mention some of the good parts?

Yeah, I’ve heard many of the top celebrities say to the question: what is one thing you missed most about life before your career in entertainment? a lot of them answer the exact same… Anonymity. Being able to go to the store and shop and just enjoy yourself without being hassled by the press, chased around by paparazzi or asked for selfies or autographs. the fact is, they are just regular people like you and I who have an admired career. They just want to enjoy the fruits of their labor, without being hassled 99.9% of the time. Spend time with their families and just going out and having fun with friends. Which many of them can’t do without fear of issues. Many of them having to be followed around by bodyguards. Simply to go to the grocery store or to the mall or movies. They can’t even drive around in their cars without fear of somebody following them home. So many people set their sites on being famous without realizing what the cost of that is. Not only what I mentioned above, but worrying about trusting even the people closest to you… Wondering if they’re there because of you or your fame and fortune. Wonder why many actors Only hang around other actors and successful people? It’s because they generally know that those people are in the same situation. even then, you have to worry that they aren’t just there to get a part in one of your TV series or movies. It’s a very sycophant lifestyle. Everybody using everybody else in order to get what they want. I truly don’t know how they deal with it. I’ve carved out my own little niche in entertainment, doing so my entire life and deal with a little bit of what they do and don’t like it. I can never imagine having that on an international level. When I do meet celebrities, it’s one of the first things I ask them. How do you deal with it without going completely insane?

There are plenty of places he can go without being disturbed but it is kinda nice to be able to go out and get a confidence boost whenever you like

I think those who act need some sort of adoration and boost. Some say they are insecure and were shy as kids, so parents put them in acting classes to boost their confidence. It is not necessarily arrogance, but they have a fragileness about who they are and being admired gives them some boost to their self esteem. The free stuff is shocking to me, like I read of an actor who got a free meal, give it to a homeless person not a rich guy. At least some donate what they were given lije I read John Legend and his wife got so much for baby Luna they donated a lot to charities helping poorer families.

There's definitely different levels of famous. Kevin bacon and will smith have both talked about how nice it is to be recognizable and it's perks but their type of famous is manageable. Someone like Justin Bieber who is superstar famous and has a fanatic like fanbase, that is the type of famous you are referring to that would be beyond annoying

Ada banana. Will Smith is a superstar, it's just Just Beibers fanbase is far less mature than that of someone like a Will Smith.

I think most people still have enough common sense or restrained not to attack someone just cause they're famous even though I'm sure it's a different story for pop stars and teen idols with all these shrieking fangirls. It's just another human at the end of the day and you realize at the latest when you see them in person
