B101 Philly's Laura Boss talks with Kevin Costner about his new epic Western, working with his youngest son, and why he needed to tell this story.
Costner co-wrote, produced, directed and co-stars in the epic western. The film boasts an all-star ensemble cast including Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Owen Crow Shoe, Danny Huston, Abbey Lee, Michael Rooker, Will Patton, and Luke Wilson.
‘Horizon’ chronicles 15 years of pre and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West. Set against the visually stunning landscape of the vast frontier, the film provides a thought-provoking and unforgiving look at America’s past in a cinematic spectacle of scope, scale and character. It is an epic journey told through the eyes of many. The first film sets the scene of a clash between American settlers and the indigenous people who already live there.
