As a city fan I’ll admit our defense is having a absolute nightmare this season. What’s keeping City in the title race is the ability to score and out score teams in the prem. Oh and then there’s Kevin De Bruyne. 😅

It's because Walker is used as the width on the right. Pep has lost control in order to play free flowing football. However he is now playing a mixture hence all the wins on the run. Another 12 wins on the run should sort the league.

First, the price of the whole Barca squad in 2011 was €154 million (which would be €206 million in 2024). Haaland alone is worth more than that. This City squad is absolutely packed. Not even prime AC Milan, Man United, Barca or Chelsea come close. Second, this is an older, much more experienced, superior version of Pep (lack of hair notwithstanding). Finally, even though prime Barca/Man United/etc. struggled sometimes, on average, they looked much stronger than Man City. It is not just this game with Newcastle, it's most games they had this season. There have been very few games that City won convincingly - it is either a loss, a draw, or a very close win. The best squad on the planet with the best manager on the planet should not be struggling this much against sub-par teams.

With the exception of Real Madrid during the Galacticos era, I cannot think of any team in history that comes even close to Man City in terms of squad quality/depth. They should be steamrolling most of their opponents, especially when those teams are in the mid-table and the relegation zone.

I can answer that for you no he wouldn’t. So put in perspective for you jokers that’s 1 cb 1 rb 2 lb 3 mid 1 rw out. How would your team look then?
