Almost one year to the date when he hit the go-ahead 3 pointer to give the Warriors a 3-0 series lead in last year’s finals, Kevin Durant did it again in a Game 3 hitting a dagger over Lebron James to extend the lead and help put the Warriors one win away from repeating as NBA Champions.

Second one is one of the coldest NBA moments I've ever seen, I come back to this video regularly. Seeing Draymond and Steph gas him up and yelling while he just has this stone cold killer look on his face. And he didn't even have that look and then break it after a few seconds, he had a blank face all the way to the bench. It's like he's bored, unreal.

KD is so cold!!! He could care less if LeBron was guarding him on that first shot. He knew he was better, and there was nothing LeBron could do about it at that moment. Straight pulled up on LeBron and drained a three in his face to give his squad the lead in a clutch moment. In the second shot, LeBron was having flashbacks, didn't want the smoke, and passed off the defensive assignment to Rodney Hood. KD still knocked down the three, anyway. As the best player in the world, LeBron was supposed to take on that challenge but didn't want to get embarrassed again.

The importance of that shot in 2017 cannot be understated. It was what changed everything, letting everyone know, this aint gonna be a repeat of last year. Up till then, there was always that doubt, can the Warriors deliver in the clutch, or will they fail after blowing the Cavs out several times, once again. The Cavs had a 7 point lead with 3 minutes, left, and the pattern was repeating. Warriors win the first 2. Cleveland wins the third one. Now, if Cleveland wins the 4th one the series is tied. If they dont, it becomes, you guessed it, 3-1, in the exact same way as last year. And it was heading there. And then suddenly Steph gets a layup. And then KD swishes a fade away. And because of the defense the lead is down to 2. But we all still remember what happened in Game 7, when the Warriors couldn't make the shots that mattered. The score was 111-113 with 40 seconds left. If you miss, the Cavs regain possession and can put it out of reach. Thats when this happened. The shot, the dagger, whatever you want to call it. KD said "I got this," pulls up on LeBron and hits the dagger in his face, making the clutch shot. That's when we knew it was a W and a trophy.

The NBA has had super teams for year man, the 60s Celtics, the 70s 76ers the 80s show time lakers lol superteams are nothing new. But I understand your sentiment, he definitely helped paved the way for modern day super teams. I like what he did though, showed NBA players to never be loyal to a franchise and do whats best for you. But as you stated it definitely came back to bite him HARD, cause golden state has definitely dented his legacy.

Barbosa, Bogut, Harrison Barnes, Ezeli, David Lee and Mo Speights the foundation that made them successful were gone so They still had to build chemistry by starting from scratch cause they never played with each other before, Curry and Klay had to limit their shot attempts as well, and more importantly Klay and Draymond could never lead a team to the post season but you know who did before they teamed up? D.Wade finals mvp, Bosh led the Raptors to the playoffs and Lebron led the Cavs multiple times so you can find another narrative chief.
