Can't wait for more vinyl to come out of Kevin Gray's all tube studio. Exceptional sound quality that sets a new standard.

It occurred to me that it would be easy to trick Kevin into talking about upcoming titles just by saying "So Kevin, what was it like to cut Mal Waldron - The Quest for the new OJC?" and he'd either say "Oh, did they announce that?" or "I don't think that was me" and you'd have your answer. Except that would be a crappy thing to do and he'd never come back on.

Great job, gentlemen. KG nerding out about tape formulations and showing some of his favorite records, among other things, were all unprecedented in relation to the many KG interviews now on YT

I thought the tape convo was very interesting as well, and gave me some food for thought with all the old ampex tapes I have of my Dad's. Thanks for your support! - Chris

Just ordered off Discogs from NZ Anthony Wilson Nonet album Kevin spoke about - I’m in Australia and it was the cheapest by far for me. Looking forward to this, if KG is impressed by it, thats good enough for me!

Chris saying that when he buys a Tone Poet or OJC he won't ever have to buy another copy is the same way I feel when I find a clean Liberty pressing with RVG mastering. I file those clean early pressings away for life.

Great job guys. I have already watched a bunch of Kevin Gray interviews and this one still came out as fresh. My only complaint that I wish it was longer so we could continue the geekfest.

Great interview Felipe. You asked many of the questions a lot of Kevin Grey fans want to see answered. That's great you got Kevin for the interview, he's always interesting to see talk about his career. I was listening to one of his latest, Bill Evans Waltz For Debby on Craft OJC - awesome sounding album. BTW, one of my fav Stanley Turrentine albums is a CTI title, Sugar. Ron Carter is the man on that record.

Seen quite a few KZfaq videos with Kevin the last couple of years. This one was the best. Thank you! And I’m lucky I already had the Anthony Wilson album he recommended. ✌️ It’s a great one. Cut by Bernie.

Every record I’ve ever heard mastered by Kevin Gray was distorted and sibilant when listened to on headphones. He seems nice and I’m grateful that he was around after RVGs passing to bring old Blue Note albums to the masses. But I hope his masters get better 🙏
