Who the hell would want to be? Why the hell is having a perceptual bias is something desirable? Why do we want news to be objective or neutral, but want our perceptions to be continuously biased in favour of things we like? Depression and negativity has become cool? Now that is truly sad.
@noahnooner47163 жыл бұрын
@@gezzapk no you’re completely right. Happiness and positivity is becoming less popular. Everyone is depressed. Everyone is negative. People hate what they don’t have and it keeps them in an endless cycle of negativity and depression. That’s why it’s up to people who do have that positive mentality and perspective on life to spread it far and wide. It’s contagious. You just have to have enough people willing to spread that energy.
@AnnaLVajda3 жыл бұрын
No because if your life is shit "pretending" to be happy all the time makes you a fake. There is plenty to be cynical about and intelligent people tend to suffer more from depression because they consider those things. So people who are happy all the time seem naive or stupid in certain circumstances. Lots of people just put on a brave face because of societal expectations anyway it takes more courage to be real.

I don't find the need for a family, but the magic of living in a meaningless world is that the definition for happiness is completely open to every individual. The problems arise when you start holding yourself to happiness as defined by other people.

It’s Satan’s agenda to be negative. It’s not a coincidence that positive thinking is what God wants, and positive thinking leads to mental health. Negativity, negative self talk, criticism of others is all leading to mental issues and broken relationships. Look at TV nowadays, it’s not a coincidence there are no more shows like “Family Matters” “Growing Pains” “Different Strokes” etc. Satan is behind the scenes to make you mentally sick Do you doubt me??? Read it yourself “Then the devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. “I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please. I will give it all to you if you will worship me.” Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the LORD your God and serve only him.’ ”” Luke 4:5-8 NLT www.bible.com/116/luk.4.5-8.nlt

What i learned in Japan was that its actually cool to be "the wise, clever and compassionate hero" over there, and the badass people are likened to criminals/yakuza. Whereas in America and some western countries its opposite, being "badass" or "special" is glorified, and the brave "good/positive" hero's are either treated like movie stars or absolute garbage. This contrast seriously changed my perspective. It affects entire societies. Just see, Japanese bus stops with flowerbeds whether its in a good or bad neighbourhood (And Shinjuku was considered a red light district in Japan with yakuza when I lived there) vs. American or Australian bus stops vandalized by frustrated teens being badass, no matter if good or bad neighbourhood (although less vandalism/property destruction in "better" neighbourhoods, it still happens at times or in different ways). what's truly cool imo, is to be quietly brave.

@@protohass So true. Even if someone isn't overwhelmingly positive, being neutral seems to not be an option. Things are so polarized and people are incredibly prideful in their stances and opinions.
