I'd like to know more on the process of using the help of stones to see and for guidance in similar ways. Very interested about this, and there's not a while lot of info. I feel like I'm scraping the internet for information, very curious about how people practice this sort of thing.

Similar, but surprisingly different. Rock crystal and crystals in general seem to work less than just a stone.

Seer stones predate Mormonism as an American folk tradition, it’s odd how ready some people are to discount it if it’s LDS, but how they become interested if it’s not.
