Yes he is, unfortunately he can also be an ahole sometimes. There's a big difference between being critical of someone and degrading them and destroying their dream. :( "The big companies will crush you like the cockroach you are! Now get out of here, you are dead to me!" lol

So, what is a Shark Tank deal with Kevin O'Leary actually worth? What is the value of his expertise and his investment in your company? As it turns out - not much! Especially if he goes it alone. In fact, the vast majority of deals that were successful have other Sharks that can be credited with the actual success. But, as you'll see, the overwhelming theme of this Shark is failure to provide as promised. This is a summary of every deal Kevin made (or bailed on, or partnered up and still bailed) prior to the current season, in order, but not dated, taken from: inwiththesharks.com/investors/kevin-oleary/ The numbers are as published, but in some cases are very misleading as they include deals that fell apart in due diligence (including his second-largest of $1mil). His investment isn't anywhere NEAR $8mil as they claim. Here we go! TURBOBASTER - ($35k for company) - bought product/company but TURBOBASTER is still not on market or available for sale GIFT CARD RESCUE - ($100k for 25%) - took off, but were already successful prior MY THERAPY JOURNAL - ($40k for 25.5%) - old website still functioning, never took off. The website is worth $4100 based on traffic at www.yourwebsitevalue.com SOY YER DOUGH - ($100k for 17%) - failed product, negative ratings on Amazon before it was pulled down. Website active but five years old. JUMP FORWARD - ($300k for 25%) - partnered with Herjavic - still active CAFFEINDICATOR - ($200k for 50%) - product never made it to market TOYGAROO - ($100k for 17.5%) - Bankrupt by 2012 FIRST DEFENSE NASAL SCREENS - ($250k for 10%) - coattail deal with Daymond Johns who secured deals with major retailers FLIPOUTZ - ($100k for 33%) - No longer in business, website shuttered SWEEPEASY - ($40k for 12.5%) - Bankrupt. Inferior product according to amazon reviews TALBOTT TEAS - ($250k for 35%) - Partnered with Daymond Johns - sold to JambaJuice BUGGY BEDS - ($50k for 5%) - Coattail deal with all other Sharks - took off. CATEAPP - ($37.5k for 15%) - Died out in 2013 FOCUS DESIGNS - ($150k for 16.5%) - Partner with Herjavic - SBU no longer in production DRIVE SUITS - ($150k for 15%) - Fake claim. O'Leary never honoured the deal COFFEE JOULIES - ($37.5k for royalty return) - Company still active. No actual $$ invested HOW DO YOU ROLL - ($1m for 20%) - Fake claim. Kevin bailed on the deal in due diligence LIDD UP - ($100k for 33%) - Inventors gave up one third of their company to get a meeting with Igloo, that either one of them could have made at any time. WICKED GOOD CUPCAKES - ($75k for royalty return) - earned no stake in the company MEE MAS GUMBO - ($100k for 25%) - Not produced since 2015 VERBALIZE IT ($250k for 20%) - Still active, site valued at $12k based on traffic. RUCK PACK COMBAT - ($52.5k for 15%) - still active, partner with Herjavic UNIKEY - ($250k for 20%) - Product took off, thanks to Mark Cuban partnership M3 GIRL DESIGNS - ($100k for 10%) - Website is dead, embroiled in lawsuits by 2014 BREATHOMETER - ($125k for 3.8%) - FTC ruling in 2017 shut the business down, and made the company reimburse all customers over false claims of device performance. TOTAL MERCHANT RESOURCES - ($200k for 50%) - O'Leary's personal Shark Tank now, with locations in NJ, NY and CA. GROOVEBOOK - ($75k for 20%) - Company grew and was sold to Shutterfly for $14.5 million, but O'Leary had no equity in the company at time of sale. BOO BOO GOO - ($100k for 25%) - Misleading. O'Leary has not paid out deal yet - contingent on patent success FUNTIME EXPRESS - ($62.5k for 10%) - Investment in two novelty trains that rent for $250/hr. It will take forever to recoup this investment. Never took off. At 10% of rental rate, assuming no operating costs, O'Leary makes $25/hr with this gem, when it's running) PAPER BOX FLYERS - ($35k for 50%) - Product line is smaller than before their appearance. Never took off, and seems to be running out of inventory with no new production to replace it. HONEYFUND - ($400k for 3x investment) - These investors did not need a $400k loan at 200% interest to take off, but that was the foolish deal they accepted. The company is a great success, as it was before their appearance, and O'Leary has no stake in this enterprise after his loan was paid off. BOTTLE BREACHER - ($75k for 10%) - Coat tail deal with Mark Cuban. Still active and doing well. ZIPZ - ($2.5mil for 10%) - Despite O'Leary's involvement, by mid 2016 the company was whittled down to 18 months of operating capital in 2016 before the original partners secured a licensing deal without O'Leary's assistance. O'Leary had promised great things to this company through his own venture into wines, but those wines never took off either. THE GREEN BOX - ($300k for 10%) - Company has failed to secure a major restaurant chain, and sales continue as they have done historically. Still active, but never took off despite the deal they received. FRILL CLOTHING - ($50k for 15%) - Coattail deal with Corcoran. Still active, but the sisters really didn't need the deal they got, ad they had turned over $150k in sales the year prior to their arrival. PITTMOSS - ($200k for 11.7%) - False claim. Both Kevin and Robert bailed on this deal, leaving Mark Cuban to step in. Company is thriving under Cuban's advisement, with $600k in backorders to fill. ***** SO - summary? 1) The page outlining these deals and sales is extremely misleading. 2) Many companies Kevin dealt with are no longer in business 3) Several claimed deals were never completed 4) Many of the companies still active received almost no benefit by way of increase in business attributed to their association with O'Leary 5) Of the entire list of companies still doing well were coat tail deals with stronger Sharks in that area of expertise, with O'Leary in a minority share situation 6) Meaning, the successes he does enjoy pretty much fall in to the "blind squirrel" category. 7) If you want to succeed on Shark Tank, deal with Mark Cuban.

According to Nasdaq its numbers are not only solid, but Nasdaq even listed O'shares twice between late 2016 and early this year as being one of the 5-7 ETF's people should be investing in right now. www.nasdaq.com/symbol/ousa/stock-chart www.nasdaq.com/article/5-etfs-to-bank-on-as-global-growth-concerns-loom-cm693140 www.nasdaq.com/article/7-best-etfs-for-your-growth-and-income-needs-as-trump-takes-the-wheel-cm735901 Several analysis of the ETf's preformance have been singing it's praises and its been outpreforming its competators during its first fiscial year in buisness. www.forbes.com/sites/trangho/2016/08/19/how-kevin-olearys-etfs-posted-eye-popping-returns-since-debut/#39fafb355bbf www.etfstrategy.co.uk/oshares-ftse-us-quality-dividend-etf-outperforms-sp-500-in-its-first-year-15142/

Uh huh. Didja happen to notice now many of those funds invested in Canada? I'll give you a hint - it's less than 0.01% OUSA (United States) OEUR (Europe in local currency) OEUH (Europe with currency in U.S. dollars) OASI (Asia-Pacific in local currency) OAPH (Asia-Pacific with currency in U.S. dollars) Based out of Boston. And O'Leary can't take any credit for the funds performance, either, since he is not a licensed broker or money manager - just more of him riding the coattails of other people's efforts AND money.

I'm actually enjoying this - you take a day or two to find something to justify your position, and I can shoot it down in ten minutes. I followed the links on that NASDAQ article and compared the other funds on the sheet. O'Shares is middling performer at best. FDRR:($24.56/28.60/27,58) = 112% 52wL DGRW:($28.71/35.01/35.26) = 123% 52wL OUSA:($24.70/28.54/28.66) = 116% 52wL IVAL:($20.99/27.44/27.69) = 131% 52wL QWLD:($57.01/65.32/65.01) = 114% 52wL Middle of the pack. Below-average numbers, considering the NASDAQ itself has steady climbed from 4570.605 to 5865.949 in the last twelve months, for a 128.3% increase. (IXIC) So, the OUSA fund has under-performed the NASDAQ by 12%.
