I don't know him, just from this fight, but can conclude he has a nice tactic, get the opponent down, keep him in a sort chin hold with 1 hand and finding the KO spot in the jawline of the opponent to just give it a couple of good hits for the easy KO, fighting starts with your mentality and he got the right 1, well deserved win here

@@flowrepins6663 Well you know, he's Fedor. He can't really be explained with logic when he was in his prime. Many champions refused to fight him because they just saw him as an unbreakable wall, and they didn't want to lose their reputation. He didn't even commit to specialized training before fighting his opponents, as is the norm. He just went into the fight, and adapted however he had to, to win.

if u pause right before the punch lands you will see mirko lower his both hands anticipating a low takedown and trying to grab randlemans head, leaving his chin in front of his body and completely unprotected, mirko should have been side-stepping each time he thought a tackle was coming and not stand in front of Randleman like that but he did not have the footwork to do that. or at least kick defensively but this was terrible from him to leave his chin out like that.

Greatest generation of fighters? Not only is that not true, it's not even possible with how much the sports evolved. However the first generation of fighters will always be special because they were like movie characters. Bizarre people participating in a crazy, bizarre new sport. Guys like Randleman, Coleman, Tank Abott, Ruten, both Shamrocks, Gracie, Fedor and crocop etc. Like superhero's or GI Joe characters. American wrestlers and brawlers, Brazilian BJJ fighters, Japanese shoot wrestlers
@ComboMuster
@ComboMuster 9 ай бұрын
@@jeremylamovsky3669 You cannot compare that golden generation with today's not by far. They had different rules, were more aggressive, tougher and more skillful. Today the biggest names are defensive counter punchers who are running around in circles looking for an opportunity. That is very boring and bordering cowardice. UFC rules encourages that kind of behavior: you cannot kick your opponent while he is on the ground yet he can up-kick flailing his legs around, you cannot punch your opponent on the back of his head etc just to mention a few.

This fight was the 1st fight in MMA that a high level Wrestler beat a high level Striker with STRIKING.... LEGENDARY FIGHT.

It's the fear of the take down that leaves the striker with their hands down and exposed for the wrestler to strike. It served Khabib well.

Rip I loved watching him - absolute beast and always like he is on springs so explosive My favourite fight was when he fought Fedor and slammed him on his head. The lead up to that body lock was pure beast mode
