Hi Libby, I'm an American who has lived abroad since I was 19. By law, we are allowed to vote but in the GWBush election, I understand that the Americans abroad votes were not counted because (Jeb Bush) thought they were irrelevant. There were over 7 million registered Americans living abroad at the time. Counting their votes would have changed the election because few people I met, who lived abroad, voted for Bush. (Off topic: I carried a sign in Turkish, that said Go Home Bush when he came to Istanbul some years ago. ) Our votes should also be counted.
