I'm deadass a Chinese teacher and one of my coworkers speaks no English but she has a HEAVVYYY southern Chinese accent and it deadass sounds like this to me. Like it sounds like I should know it but I don't 😭😭😭 she makes me feel dumb. Also she loves to yell at me. All I can understand is "AYE WHAT THE FUCK TEACHER" and then this 😭😭😭

For the people who did understand Chinese this really hurt my brain. It was like I desperately wanted to figure out what it was they were saying but I couldn't form a single sentence. So when that happens your Chinese brain starts running down the list of dialects you've heard but don't understand just for context and then it gets all confused. 😂

I speak Chinese as a second language, I use it a lot but my vocab is as limited as you’d expect from someone who’s only using the language for everyday life and not the important stuff. Anyway I understood every word of this until I realized it was gibberish. Going to watch it again and see if they’re maybe saying something if you force it through an awkwardly grammared 文言文. wish me luck!

I'm Fluent in Mandarin and it sounds normal because those are all legit words, but they intentionally word-salad them to make no sense. Like right now if I wrote this as a sentence: "Little boy starlight concert care pairs in link." You understood each word individually but the sentence was Mcgurkin. However, Chinese has many dialects and Mandarin is simply the Main Dialect. So listening to them speak, totally sounded like a Dialect of Chinese I don't know.

这个视频我觉得真厉害，很形象的使我们感受到了从来没学过中文，听中文是什么感觉，因为周围结束的人说的要么是方言，要么是英语或者日文，即使没学过多多少少我都能听懂一小部分，但是这个视频里的除了貌似有一个是的，其他完全没听懂，XD

Take it from me they totally aren't. It took my poor brain so long to figure out it was overworking itself for nothing. I kept trying to piece together what they were saying then going through different dialects I'd heard to see if they were talking in a dialect or something before it finally clicked they were just spouting nonsense! 😂😂

They are speaking Mandarin words，but mess the words order. You can tell that they're speaking Mandarin from some word，but those words can't form a sentence so nobody knows what they are talking about

when u're half chinese and grew up half of your life in china and now ure settled down in a foreign country and ur friends ask you to speak some chinese but don't know how to vaus there's no conversation happening you just gotta say 'ni hao' to them but they would demand a longer one then i would just speak some nonsensical words or might try a chinese song that is not so popular AHAHHAHAHAHA and they'll say "woah, u really are a half chinese" and I'm just like 'i just talked nonsense bruh'

就和咱听那些听不懂的方言一样。另外记得最清楚的一件事，在国外上学么，有一次和朋友走路聊天，从旁边过去一个老奶奶，过了一会儿，她又折回来了，问我们刚才说的是什么语言，我说是汉语，她重复了几遍“汉语、汉语”。然后对我们说，这个语言很动听啊，她刚才从旁边过去，听到这个语言，就在想是什么语言，这么好听。当时真的心里一热，特别感动。这是第一次有完全不懂汉语的人，称赞汉语。
