Road of Resistance is their anthem and yes, Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce were responsible for the guitars in the studio recording of the song. Btw neither of the girls do screams or growls (I mean, Su does kind of scream in Headbanger, but it’s a different screaming lol) Babymetal has 60 songs in their discography now and it is really hard to pick a favourite since they are all different. My personal favourite is probably “From Dusk Till Dawn” which was only ever performed live twice. “Megitsune” is one I can always recommend along with “Headbanger” and “Karate” :) 🤘🦊🔥

Nice reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL. This was the epic final encore of a super epic concert, New Year Fox Festival - Legend 2015 held in Saitama on January 10th 2015 at the SSA (Saitama Super Arena) with a sold-out crowd of over 20.000 people. Fortunately, for this live video they decided to keep the live audio and visuals just cutting short the majority of the extensive "We are? BABYMETAL!" outro. And yes, those guitars better sound you like DragonForce since Herman Li and Sam Totman collaborated with BABYMETAL on this one writing the guitar arrangements and also playing the guitars on the studio recording. Funnily enough they ended up performing it live with the girls later that year. The song premiered live at O2 Academy Brixton in London in November 2014. That moment when they walked through the bridge was a very special moment for them, as Su-metal (the lead vocalist) explained years later. She said it was one of her favorite moments on stage and also also made this song her personal anthem. You can tell she was on fire, specially during the second half of the song, by her expressions. To the point she verbalized it by shouting: "Kakatte koi yaa!" ("Bring it on!"). BABYMETAL are: Suzuka Nakamoto as SU-METAL (lead vocals and dance) Yui Mizuno as YUIMETAL (backing vocals and dance). She left in 2018 after not performing since 2017 due health issues. She was an OG member since their formation in 2010. Moa Kikuchi as MOAMETAL (backing vocals and dance). And since April 2023: Momoko Okazaki as MOMOMETAL (backing vocals and dance). She was one of the three girls (called the "Avengers") who covered Yui's old spot since 2019. They only had a dancing role. Now she's a full fledged official member. About their band, the Kami band: They are backed by a band called Kami Band, formed by session musicians, the best you can find. On the early days you can see them wearing white burial robes and face paint (like in this video). All the band members have their own projects aside BABYMETAL so they have some rotation. But it's minimal actually, since the vast majority of the shows you can watch are performed mainly by 6 people: Takayoshi Ohmura, Leda Cygnus (both in this video), Mikio Fuioka (RIP), and ISAO (guitars), BOH (6 strings bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). In 2019, they added a second set of the Kami Band formed by American musicians: Chris Kelly and CJ Maschiantonio (guitars), Clint Tustin (bass) and Anthony Barone (drums). That resulted on a change on their robes to something darker and started wearing masks (which no one likes). All the musicians from both sets are incredible. And, finally here is my suggestion: "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Live at Sonisphere 2014): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNVdksaTy8rWiXk.html Until next time!

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。Many people fall into Foxhole deep by this song. The crowd involvement (mosh pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. In your video, Su shouted some words at 11:16 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it rarely since then or she does it smilingly with her friendly voice now towards the audience. The girls have grown up into beautiful ladies. The maturity has added more attractiveness to this band. Please react to videos including recent ones to explore BM more.

Good first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). This was also the end of a 90 minute concert, they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Your instinct was right - Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version.

I don't have a favorite BabyMetal song, but this is probably my favorite video. In a nutshell the song is about forging your own path, not necessarily the easiest one. As for other songs to check out, I'd suggest Headbanger (Legend 1997 version, Su's 15th birthday) Karate (download festival) Ijime Dame Zettai (Sonisphere 2016. The show that put BabyMetal on the world map). I could go on and on, each song they do is unique and they cover so many genres.

BABYMETAL is best LIVE. I flew to Japan to be at their live performance in January this year, and get this: I (then a 74 year old geyser) was running around in the pit, twirling a muffler during this song. Who else makes people like me do that?

Nice reaction. Smart, good comments and I liked the way you had your screen set up. Good job. When this video was shot Su lead vocals was 17 and Moa and Yui were 15. To have such a commanding presence at such a young age never ceases to blow my mind. BM have so much great music. I would say as far as reactions go BM's stock in trade is their incredible live performances and if you stick to those you can hardly go wrong. Again nice job with this one.

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥 This is a great song to start your BM journey, the collaboration with BMTH isn't the typical BM song from early era, not even from Metal Galaxy from 2019, but now with the new album released in March some songs are more closed to that sound and vibes. Recently they finished the Sabaton's Europe Tour started last month and all fans enjoyed this song in every live concert ending the show just like here. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist. *MoaMetal* scream and dance. *YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018. None of them are related. After that year you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them were official members, but now they got a new official member called: *MomoMetal* and we love her for sure, she's coming from the same roots just like the girls. _Road Of Resistance_ is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, and is all about facing your own path without looking back. The wall of death is nuts just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, is the last song of the encore they performed and finishing the show. By this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians who were send to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (specially the guitarrists), all of them are males. BM fans love some members of this band but none of them are official members of this group not even permanent, they only play live, so when you heard album tracks remember they aren't playing there. In this case they are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording certain songs. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar or golden in other moments. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to making them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed to X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. If you like this type of metal genre then you're gonna love another previous song from first album called *"Ijime Dame Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and witness a precious and epic moment on their career. You can find that clip in the official channel but just be careful coz sometimes is getting blocked issues. Thanks for sharing this and hopefully this won't be blocked See you next time and kitsune up! 🦊🤘

BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old when the group began. All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) Suggest reacting to these for a start. Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK where 60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls. Megitsune LIVE at Budokan 2021 Syncopation LIVE Yava LIVE with Kami Band intro at 2017 Fox Festival BxMxC LIVE Headbanger LIVE Tales of the Destinies LIVE Kagerou LIVE WITH Kami Band intro Catch Me If You Can LIVE with Kami Band intro At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member. Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles. Good luck and hope to see you again.

Nice reaction! I started listening to newer rock music again after about 40 years after hearing this song some years ago. I first discovered DragonForce after listening to ROAD OF RESISTANCE. And I was happy to find out that rock music has not changed much in the past. What surprised me, however, was how metal has been divided into so many genres. I don't really know why. But I feel that BABYMETAL, although they call themselves metal, is a very free band, musically speaking, with a touch of jazz fusion, Japanese music, and roots music from around the world. I hope you enjoy BABYMETAL again!

Hmm, Okay, want a pretty epic show that shows off the Kami Band (dudes in white), check out Rondo of Nightmare with the Mischiefs of Metal Gods intro. Its pretty badass. Only the singer (the girls are resting under the stage doing homework or something). Pretty epic. Otherwise...just too many. "Catch Me If You Can" with the Kami Band intro from Budokan: Black Night Apocalypse is, in my opinion, much better. And they do have several very good MV's besides "BMxC"; "Megitsune" and "Karate" are excellent, and BABYMETAL's first two MV's, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" are pretty good, too.

@@Filboid2000 Doki Doki morning and ii ne are 2 videos that fully turn off people who like metal a bit..100% gimmick phase, but everyone has different tastes of course. I seen Gimme Chocolate, ii ne, and Doki Doki Morning and dismissed them for ages. then caught IDZ and thought it was silly also, but the metal was pretty good overall, so decided to check out one more video called RoR...and like a light switch I got turned on to the band. So, point is, everyone has different tastes. Some people dislike the metal aspects of their songs so like ii ne and such, some like the metal stuff and hate songs like ii ne (although it is arguably fun, it isn't something you want to get caught listening to if you're a metalhead) Megitsune is good live...karate I simply find dull, and BMC's music video is visually fun (if a bit out of character for their general style)
