Great job, thank you. It looks as if the name/top row of the labels is not fully aligned to the left margin as the address lines are; is there an extra space before the name? How do you get rid of that so the entire address block is correctly aligned?

Kevin - these are really helpful videos you have been producing - thank you for your efforts! I am wondering if you have advice for the following problems I have been encountering - I have been importing through Mail Merge with an Access document for wedding invites address labels. 1) Greeting - Including titles for both sets of individuals on a single label with different last names (title 1, last name 1, first name 1, "comma" "and" title 2, last name 2, first name 2) (e.g. to produce: Dr. Kim Smith and Mr. Jerry Dove ). There is not a "standard" title/name option in the greetings for Word with this option, which seems odd given the incredible amount of diversity with names/people/couples who are unmarried for wedding invites, etc. So, incorporating a "comma ," "and" between the titles seems to need to be done manually by "Insert Merge Field" additions. 2) The address block (without a greeting) added beyond these titles does not have an easy option for Address Line 1 and an Address Line 2 (Apt number) with a comma between them on the same line (e.g. 100 Main Street, Apt. 4B). This always appears as two separate lines for me... I tried to mess with some of the If/Then statements and rules for the Address Line 2 option, and it never worked. So, I wonder if these two options had to be arranged manually in the first label, and then "updated" across all the labels. Changes to the address line may need to be done per label? It would seem I am missing some important things here that would make this easier, and I would love to learn a trick! Thanks for any help you can offer!!

Years ago in my old job, I had to put around 150 address onto labels from an excel spreadsheet. First time I did it I hadn't put next address, so I had 150 labels all with the same address on them.

Hi Kevin - After 3.5 hours, I finally found this KZfaq video and figured out how to do a mail merge. Thank you. I noticed in your example that the "Name" line had a single space indentation and I was hoping you would speak to that. My semi-final product had the same, so I went into each label and removed that single space. However, the final product pdf put that space back in. What/why is that happening and what can I do to remove that single space?

I notice that your labels have an added space before the name on the top line, just like mine had. I "fixed" mine by adding a space before subsequent lines in my Excel document so at least they'd all line up on my labels. Do you have a better fix for that?

This was a great video Kevin! Now, I have a big question that requires a bit of history. I was using MS Office 2010 Pro on my Windows 8 OS and used Companion Link to sync Outlook with Deja Office on my android phone. When I updated to Windows 10 my Office 2010 didn't play well. I bought a disc for Office 2016 Pro for a great price online (didn't question the price because I assumed it was overstock since it was October 2019 - and with constantly changing tech I didn't suspect....Then my computer died/laptop - motherboard fried and fixing it would be cost prohibitive. Long story short Office was a developer's copy, the product key no longer works, the seller gave me my money back, and I had no MS Office. I was pushed to make the switch to Office 365 and I have over 450 entries in contacts, my calendar that is my brain for keeping appointments, and notes for critical things I need to keep track of. They are all on my phone in Deja Office. I could just install MS Office apps on my phone, but I can't get the needed data into Office 365. I contacted MS Help and asked how to import the .pst file into 365, and they said I can't do it. SO, now I have a subscription to MS Office 365 that I can't use for mail merges (I send out a lot of hand crafted greeting cards, and more), my calendar exists only on my phone in Deja Office (I detest Google calendar), and my notes are all at risk. God help me if electronic gremlins strike again before I resolve this situation. I am too broken to sit and reconstruct my contacts list item by item. What is an old lady to do? If you can find a way to clean up this dilemma, I will be so very grateful. BTW, I was not impressed with Microsoft's help. I feel like I have been hung out to dry. PS: I had my data from my dead laptop transferred to a thumb drive by a local tech and took that outlook .pst file to an old Windows 7 machine, wiped out everything Office, did a clean install of Office 2010, and finally got the data into Outlook. Then I exported it to a .csv file, opened it with Excel, and saved it as an .xlsx file. I was able to follow your video and do a reasonable job of generating mail merged labels, but there were some issues while working with that. I am too tired to try to deal with the calendar and notes right now, but I hope you will throw me some crumbs of wisdom. Thanks for reading this. Sue, loyal subscriber to your channel.

I have made a sheet of labels and when I print it only 5 rows print, the rest is blank. Tips?

Would be nice to do THIS in Mac Office 365. There is no wizard. No address block. Manually have to add fields manually. Took me all day to figure out how to do this. Your video helped with update and a few others, but a lot of differences on the Mac.

Thank you. I had a big problem in that after I hit the "finish and merge" icon, if I select "All" in the merge records it prints out some 1,027 labels even if I only have 14 people in the table. That was causing me and the person I sent the file to massive problems. It would lock up our computers for extended periods of time. I eventually figured out that I had to look at the spreadsheet, scroll down to the end to see how many records I had, delete one for the first row and then tell Excel the range to merge. That is a pain, of course, but not as big of a pain as having massive files that bog down one's computer... and then having to scroll down to find how many real pages to print and define how many pages you want the printer to print. I also have a couple of other questions. I would like to know how to change the spacing so there isn't so much blank space between the lines. It seems that some of the addresses will not fit if they have an additional address line... eg. Suite # I am a bit of a newbie with Office. None of your examples included a label with 4 lines.

I forgot how to do it and this video made it so simple. Thanks
