Those little monster trucks that were all the same are actually lots a fun. Not heavy enough to break but still fast enough to have fun with. Great for little kids. They have put mine through a lot and it's still perfect.

Thanks for the video kev! I'm a great fan of the hs storm and hurricane. They are great and cheap to upgrade and repair. The pxtoys looks very similar to my eachine eat10, which is also great fun for the price. Just get some oil shocks and you've got some pretty decent bashers.

KEEVVV that one you got defective, is the same chasis and electrics sold as the “power craze 2.0” at Walmart, and it’s power to size ratio is MAD. Honestly if the chasis and suspension were equal grade it’s nearly micro hobby performance

Bought that Speed Pioneer car for my GF before I got her the Wltoys for Christmas. It's a surprisingly decent car considering how super cheap it is. Not fast, but surprisingly durable and quite fun to drive. I bought a tiny Gens Ace Tattu li-po for it to replace the crappy stock li-po and it runs even better with that one. It also runs quite well with a 2 cell li-fe battery if you got one of those.

I love mini RC cars since they are basically Hotwheels that you can drive. Hotwheels makes some 1/64th RC cars now too. I'm working on a road track for mini RC cars, turns out if you take classic Lego road baseplates you can make a very nice track for the smaller RC car models.

Hey there! I have a fairly ambitious project in mind, and I wanted to get some insight from those of you who drive higher grade RC Cars. I'm in the process of building a scale R2-D2 replica, (around 1/2 to 2/3rd scale. It's not in a set scale.) The body and physical build will be comprised of cheap craft materials, as I have blueprints and several models to reference. The issue I run into, is the actual electronics and whatnot. I'm aiming to keep the physical build to around 8 lbs or less, but its a struggle to find any RC Cars out there that could pull it at a decent speed. I want to have two cars, one in each foot, preferably with analog steering. I don't need the actual car steering, since driving the two cars forwards and backwards at different speeds would give it good steering anyways. Most of the cars that I've seen are either really fast, but can't handle any weight at all, or are stupidly slow, and aren't analogue. If possible, I'd like to have something that runs on stereotypical batteries as well, (AA or AAA) purely due to convention use. Lipos are great and all, but I also own a BB-8 that runs on NI-MH, and it only lasted about 30 minutes before it dies, and then it is a pain to lug around. I'm not too bothered by replacing the batteries every few uses if it lasts hours at a time. What would I be looking for for something like this? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but I'm not very knowledgeable in this side. I know its very specific, but any and all help is welcome!

Kev I think most of us know how mig and tig welders work. The rod you use for tig welding is filler rod. You can actually use a tig to weld in some situations with no filler rod at all
