Well you can but LED Light Kit for any Traxxas model! They are really nice proportional Taillights everytime u break taillights light up! And front lights have multiple setting dims bright and day light cycle i believe so.....

A lot of the top-end competition kits don't come with lights or anything else other than the parts to build a rolling chassis for that matter. When I got my TLR 8ight 2.0 Race Roller I had to put my own engine, servos, receiver and receiver battery in it since it didn't come with any of those. Of course, I wouldn't consider anything from Traxxas to be even remotely competition grade aside from some of their older nitro models (particularly the JATO) and the "platinum" series rollers.

I honestly like the way you don’t bash small companies about their cheap made rc cars and you actually give an honest opinion instead of just saying it’s trash. Not everyone like some of us can afford to buy big nice rc cars. Most people call it a pos it what if that pos was the only thing your mom could afford for Christmas? That’s honestly why I watch your videos, thanks man! I would also like to see your setup for the summit, I’m trying to set mine up for more speed, but don’t want to break it every time I drive it.

I think the RGT was the best by far. But I do love a trx4 . But I think the element sendero is an amazing value for money crawler . I love mine , it could do with portal axles for sure. Love your indoor crawler courses I need that kinda space haha

For anyone reading this, IMHO, save yourself money in the long run and get a quality kit, probably axial. Crawlers are THE most modified class of RC and for good reason. When you get your crawler all set up properly it will perform on a level no stock crawler could. Also, it's going to provide endless hours of fun without hardly ever breaking anything. I must have 30+ HOURS on my SCX10 crawler build since I last had a part break. Getting the drivetrain %100 metal was key. If you buy a cheaper brand/model I reckon you might struggle to reach a level of modification which is capable enough and strong enough to be a 'forever' crawler like you can build with the true hobby grade brands. If you are on a tight budget I recommend starting with a SCX24. For ~$200 you could buy an SCX24, steel beadlocks, and high quality crawler tires. With 'free' mods to the stock shocks (heavy grease, maybe lower ride height via spacers) You would have a fairly capable mini crawler that you will never want to get rid of; and that has the potential to evolve all the way into something competition worthy should you want.

love your vids! had to replace my first engine today lol a old nail ate up a spur gear and made engine shaft for the pinion gear well end results. spur gear, pinion gear, and motor... 40usd at local shop sure i could have got it cheaper online but support your local shop and cause i wanted to bash today just broke in engine now time for it a full charge bat onn 100% throttle!

I would almost argue that being afraid to hurt something like this kind of impacts the 'usefulness' of it. These kinds of things are for having fun with, and if you're worrying more about damaging it than you are about just having fun with it, I don't know if that's really worth it to me.

Kevin: I Have been an Rc enthusiast all my life, my first one was an Nikko Lobo and then the Lobo II. Anywho more recently I have been a nothing but nitro guy. Now I want to switch and I was wondering if you could recommend something. 1. Works well indoors and out 2. Customizable 3. Prefer a crawler or 4x4 that's RTR 4. UNDER $200 1/12 or larger. Hey Kev. was doing some research on those axle housings u have, and apparently they are cast zinc, which is why they are not magnetic. Just a better term than saying monkey metal. If they were machined steel it would be way more expensive due to tooling costs.

Can you review the Redcat Racing crawlers? The Gen 8 has portal axles and is about $270. Might make a good comparison against the RGT. Wouldn't mind seeing the Gen 7 ones either. They start at $200.
