I drove a converted LDV beaver tail for a small breakers yard, I welded a ring to the rear crossmember just ahead of the rear of the chassis to hook the winch to before going out to save having to run the line out at a collection job.

I've noticed that with Ford they like to make easy jobs as difficult as possible almost give AUDI a run for their money.

Dean Bell The worst thing is on some older Focus models, the tank straps are have corroded to the point that disturbing them means they won’t go back properly and need changing or the fixing snspscas you try to undo it. You have to wonder why they couldn’t follow VAG or Vauxhall in accessing the pump from within the car, or the decision to use thin mild steel straps instead of moulding the fixings into the tank body as almost all other manufacturers do. Ford seem to be full of bad ideas like that, and yet in the past they had some good ideas, like the escort door hinge where the pin was also the fixing or the single 10mm bolt fixing for focus mk1 mirrors

It is recommended that trucks should have front, sides and rear cameras for 360 degrees visibility. My rigid truck has all 4 cameras that are linked to a DVR recorder, all 4 cameras are also streamed live to a 7 inch screen in the cab.

Someone cut my car fuel pipes once. RAC came to recover, RAC arrived before Fire. RAC loaded my car, fire truck arrived, Fire told RAC to remove my car immediately and dont travel with a car that had a fuel leak. Fire had to put sand all over the carpark, and then deem my carhad no fuel left in the tank, before RAC loaded it again.

Nor me had I known the extent of the leak 👍

@@sammytheseal2307 a few years back, before the idea of "scrappage" caught on, even if you took a EOL car to a yard, you'd pay to leave it there. I think it was when the rules changed, and they could no longer simply pile 'em high, and let them leak into the ground for years. Sounds like times have changed. For the better.

@@michaelaris58 we had a 4" thick branch come through the roof of a coach( the bit above the passenger door/steps) I was on, whilst it was being manoeuvred around a car park. Completely invisible from the drivers seat.

I collected it a while ago and delivered it back to the customer in this video 👍

So I've decided to get my class one licence, I qualified as a class two driver in 2007. Not sure I'm doing the right thing, but sitting in my place day after day isn't helping.
