I've decided Jon Cowherd is one of the great storytellers in modern music. I feel like his playing and compositions are the most beautiful journeys. He and Brian Blade together are pure magic. This band is so so special. Everyone. My gosh.

I first got hip to Brian with black dub. His playing has such dynamic range with great restraint. Love his shouting when he gets into it. This group is pure magic thanks

I can really picture a bluebird flying away into the horizon especially around 1:53. Wonderful music.

Chicken skin music. I wander a bit, listening to various other bands and types of music, but I just keep coming back to this stuff. It just feels like what my heart and soul wants to hear and say.

Jon. Brian is an accomplished studio and stage musician, check out his work with Daniel Lanious, and many others. he doesn't even look like Cheatal except they are both black.
