When I heard “floating coffin” in 2014 it slapped me in the face in a way I haven’t felt since nirvana’s LIVE album “from the muddy banks of the wishkah”. Super raw sound but tight playing too. Loved everything they’ve put out since. The most recent album “face stabber” is really out there but enjoyable if you’re an oh sees head, so maybe not the place to start. Cheers.

I had a similar conversation with Chan Marshall @Jackrabbits in Jacksonville, FL. She was like, "is there too much reverb?" I said, "yeah, for this song, it's too much." She put her guitar in the case, walked out the door, and drove off. It took me years to realize she was mad at the sound guy, not me.

@@ianwilkinson4602 Oh my bad mate, I wasn't clear enough, English isn't my first language. I think I know my metal pretty damn well, I was actually wondering if you'd be kind enough to name some of those unknown bands you were referring to in your 1st comment. I'm all about prog rock, psychedelia, post rock etc., but I wanna get to know these genres better. That's why I'm here listening, heheh :) Since I'm Hungarian, let me turn you on to some of the best music from my country right now: Middlemist Red - modern psychedelic rock (current favorites are Evermore, Bloodshot Eyes, Sundowner and Illuminair - but they're just incapable of making a bad song, so you're safe to start anywhere) Képzelt Város - post rock (try the album Anatolij, it's got an atmosphere unlike anything ever) The Qualitons - funk / rock / jazz (try their song Zöld Sárga, it's a cover of an old Hungarian folk song, just an amazing piece)
