I think a lot of people are missing the point here. They're quite young and to sound as good as they do is a really great accomplishment. Song structure is surprisingly good, and individual talents will only improve with more experience. Don't criticize them too much, because most bands don't sound this mature at their ages. And yes, the lead guitarist is crazy good.

I know music is subjective, but effort is not. It takes balls for these teens to be up there doing what they do. What so many of us can’t. You may not like their sound or talent but you can’t rip on their effort and love for what they do. Believe it or not music isn’t meant to be perfect, it’s about the emotion and having fun. Ask any music or voice teacher and they’ll tell you the same.

I love calpurnia and it's awesome to hear them say that they want their shows to be all ages so kids have more of a chance to see their favourite band. Saw them and Mac demarco at the royal mountain records festival this summer. Absolutely incredible. Can't wait to see them at the Phoenix!

Eh, I’d say they have potential. Maybe even strong potential. Keep in mind, they’re all kids right now and not to draw any similarities or compare them to The Beatles, but even The Beatles had to go through a “bubblegum, teenie bopper” pop phase before heading into a different, more mature direction.

This is gonna sound like a hater comment but it is the truth, they’re about as good as any other average high school band yet they’re taking up spots in big festivals like Lollapalooza and riot fest just off the kids clout.

If this band keeps at it, they will probably go pretty far, plus.. Im glad to see these kids rockin,, with real instruments, they could be doing something dumb. They could be causing trouble and doing drugs, but they're not, they're just rocking, the way god intended!

Excessive noise or incessant talking, on the other hand, is what tends to wear me down the most. Anyway, the rewards of being an introvert are plentiful so, despite the pains of it at times, I am thankful to be part of our minority. Susan Cain's book 'Quiet' is an excellent read for introverts -- both validating and enlightening.

The guitarist is phenomenal, but there are a million great guitarists. They wouldn't have the same sound of they weren't all working together, and that includes Finn- even if you don't like his voice.

Dude I love this Ayla but Finn is a great singer too, don’t think it’s fair to write him off. I love his imperfect voice yknow? Everybody nows so auto tuned and flat, he has texture and life.

Holy smokes. That lead player, tho... I heard the first part of the first song and thought, "Oh, that's cute." And then the guitar solo came in like a samurai sword and left everything else in a smoking ruin. And I mean that in the best way possible.
