Key-Bored
This instrumental track was recorded entirely with a Yamaha Porta Sound PSS-140 synthesizer, originally sold in 1988. The little 37 key piano is a family heirloom of sorts, belonging to my older siblings first before making its way to me.
The silly title is actually the inspiration for the track, as I was bored and wanted to create something "different" while using the keyboard. I originally had some chords intended to play as background for another song, but I created a monster as I kept adding more and more to the track.
The few people that have heard it before this upload told me it reminds them of old NES or Sega game music... I like the idea.
With the addition of my latest music software, I was thinking about sampling parts of it for additional songs. Sounds good?
