이걸 촬영하신 때가 작년즈음일거라고 예상이 되는데, 또 1년이 지난 지금 키워드보아, 청담키친, 키로그라는 콘텐츠로, 놀라운 토요일이라는 tv예능으로 또 다른 여러 종류의 콘텐츠들로 확실하게 자신이 잘하는 것들을 증명해낸 모습들을 다시 되새겨보면 이 영상에서 비춰진 모습들, 말들이 참 믿음직스럽다는 생각이 들어요. 그리고 그 결과물들에 대한 좋은 평가들이 많은 이 시기, 참 오래 기다렸다고, 하지만 지금이 가장 적절한 시기인 것 같다고 말하며 데뷔 10년만에 좋은 곡들이 한껏 담긴 솔로 정규앨범을 선보였네요. 영상에서 말해왔던, 자신에게 가장 1번인 음악으로 그 모든 시선을 모았다는 점에서 '정말 생각한대로, 말해왔던 대로 해내는 사람이구나'라는 생각을 했고, 그 다음 행보에 더 큰 믿음을 갖고 지켜볼 수 있게 되었어요. 응원하는 사람으로선 10년이라는 활동기간동안 한 번도 자신을 어필할 기회를 놓치지 않았던 key라는 사람을 10년만에, 이제야 조금씩 사람들이 알아주고 있다는 게 아깝게 느껴지기도 해요. 하지만 오래 단단하게 쌓아온 만큼 앞으로 더 큰 세계를 만들어낼 사람이라는 믿음이 더 강해지는 영상이었어요. 솔로앨범이라는 음악적 결과물을 선보이고 난 뒤인 지금은 또 어떤 생각을 하고 있을지 궁금해요. 다음에도 두 분이 이런 이야기들을 하시는 모습 보고싶습니다! 좋은 영상 감사합니다:)

This was so interesting! Kibum is so intelligent, I found the points he was making super intriguing and thought provoking. I hope his paper went ok lol. I especially liked the part when he was talking about advertising and it’s relation to gender demographic, it’s cool that he wants products to transcend buyer/user gender and to appeal to the person who wants it regardless of their identity. Honestly, Kim Kibum is a GREAT example of how celebrities should be using their platform. He’s so well spoken and has always had such deep understanding of the world around him. When I saw 16:13 it made me wonder, does SHINee really not know the power they have in the industry and just overall? They’ve seriously shaped and paved a lot in the industry, from being trendsetters and introducing new and more unique things to not just Korea but people around the world, enlightening people on open-mindedness. And for me, I can say this for a fact because I am one of those people who had my view of life changed when I started stanning SHINee in 2015. I’m just truly grateful to the 5 of them because literally each of them opened up so much insight of this world to me that I would have never known about had it not been for them coming into my life. Thank you Kim Kibum, Thank you SHINee, and thank you Jay for doing this amazing project. You are seriously great. Seriously, i’ve never seen this kind of interview with and idol, the atmosphere of this interview really comfortable to watch. as i watched this video i cant help but think that many people will start seeing Key in different perspectives not just SHINee Key or Celebrity Fashionista but more than that. This is what content should be, this is what interview should be, and for personal opinions Key is one of people should be look upon to as Public Figure, he’s very intelligent and young people need a public figure that will lead our generation to creates more positive contents. In the future i hope Idols/Celebrity can do this kind of interview where they sit comfortably with a great interviewer and speaks out their opinion. thank you jay for the video,i knew this interview probably took in 2016 and i believe key already mature much, so im waiting for another great video with key!

Thank you so much for giving Key a platform to talk about "content creation", since this was a while ago you can actually see him using this knowledge in the manner he went about his own solo debut a few months ago (from cheongdam key-tchen -> debuting at a fashion show -> pre-release with photobook and collab with soyou -> full album release with various genres and collabs -> totally new concept for jpn solo debut and his own created Keyland shows in Japan) and it's really interesting to know how much thought Key puts into creating content and it makes me even more thankful as Shawol to receive such content that he likely poured many thoughts into! I've been saying this since the moment I got to know SHINee better and better, Key is the ACE everyone should look out for, if he puts his mind to something he can totally pull-off everything and I've seen him done so over the years times and times again. He truely inspires me to do the same and challenge myself and to give 100% to what I do and I've even already achieved amazing things in the time I've been his/SHINee's fan and I truely believe we as Shawols with SHINee have this great mutual relationship to keep doing better, work hard together and become succesful together

Every time he has the chance to talk and express his opinions, his words stay with me for a long time (His talk about chickens and swans in 'Talking Street' changed me) and now this. It is so interesting to hear him talk about his graduate studies and his point of view as a person who has been in the industry for so long, quietly learning and analysing. He really cares and there is still so much he wants to do and change and I can't be more excited to witness him on his journey. 와 5년전 영상인데 질 스튜어트 얘기 부분이나 뷰티 얘기하는 부분 진짜 너무 공감되고 좋은 말이다... 남자들이 여성백이나 뷰티제품 광고하는 게 "네가 이걸 입고 발랐음 좋겠어" 로 접근되는 게 아닌 "남자가 광고해도 이걸 들고싶고 바르고 싶게 하는 걸 바랐단 거. 여자든 남자든. 진짜 중요한 포인트를 건드려 설명해 줘서 좋다. 근데 이걸 5년전에 했던 말이란게... 원래도 키 좋아했지만 내가 생각한 것보다 더 깊은 사람이라 다시 보임. 그외에도 쓰고 싶은 말 많지만 귀찮아서 패스 근데 암튼 하는 말 다 좋앗음

As fascinating as expected. Yesterday I watched the 4th Episode of As I say that Key appeared on and it ties neatly into this, his 'chicken celebrity' metaphor and him going a bit more theoretical in-depth during his talk with you. Both that and your interview being recorded during the Drinking Solo era. What with this year's Solo debut and the effects of that, it's even more fascinating to see his vision take shape more clearly. He said on a recent Happy Together (in a joking fashion) that in other entertainment companies the members of EXO would already be on the board of directors: I think if Key finds time to collate and formulate his theory on behavioural economics, with his connections within SM in all areas, he should have his own director position created and give his input - like a translator for the economics and the creative side of the business, making them understand each other's work/viewpoints better.

I always enjoy hearing and reading your opinions on different topics, Kibum. You may be an idol, yet you're so different from most. I'm looking forward to seeing you grow both as a content creator and as a person.

Apart from any intellectual discussion, this video taught me that Kibum has 0 bad angles. He literally looks good no matter which way the camera is facing. That's incredible.

This is why I look up to Kibum so much, he puts his everything into the things he does, and is quite frank about things. Hearing him talk about how he wants to be a force for change, the stuff he is thinking about, and what he wants to do with his influence makes me feel really proud to call myself a fan. I can see how he is implementing this particularly in Cheongdam Key-tchen, I loved watching this show because he cared about the person he was talking to, he wasn't interviewing people he was exchanging ideas and experiences with them in a way that wasn't intrusive in the slightest.

Ever since the first time I like him, I've always known there are more in a Kim Kibum than what were shown in TV. This video proved that he has interesting insights and an incredibly open minded one at that. He just never stops learning and always tries his best in everything. I really admire him for that. He may be not as handsome or as tall as those celebrities he mentioned but he definitely stands out. I’m really glad that he had this interview as we got an insight on his thoughts and ideas for the future. And omg he’s such an intelligent man, he has so much to offer. SHINee is the first K-pop group I know and I've been following them since. I knew what kind of person Kibum was, sometimes playful sometimes serious. But this is the first time I feel like I really got to know him closer and I see him not as a celebrity but a normal person with goals and hopes. He thinks and works a lot about various kinds of things but we only get to see the same side of him, unfortunately. And Jay, tho I already knew you were close with Kibum, this kind of content is something YOU could come up with and I truly appreciate it. Great content about contents! Thank you

soo I have been a fan of Key since.... 2012 or so and I did know that he was a person with many deep thoughts but was not always showing everything about his thoughts. So this was indeed another proof that showed me that I am supporting the right person. 🤗I really like your mind and personality 기범씨.🐶

It will ALWAYS be quality content when the person talking have: experience, excellence and respect for the craft. I'm honored to see such powerful artist develop even further into this powerhouse that all shinee members have always been.

kibum is a man full of wisdom. He often speaks from his personal experience and is not afraid of expressing himself, though I'm 14.. I feel that I could actually understand what is he trying to talk about, and honestly.. I find him amazing. It actually felt like my teacher talking to me about how much I could do and how could I improve on myself as well. If Kibum takes on a job as a prof/ teacher, he'll be a really great one. Now, I'm saying all of these not because I'm a shawol for a long time now. I'm looking at him as human kim kibum, someone just like anyone of us.

기범이는 참 보면 볼수록 매력적인 사람이야 볼수록 영리하고 생각이 깊고 옛날 신인때 라디오에서 심리 전문가? 이런 사람이 같이 나와서 샤이니들 성격이 어떻고를 파악해주는데 처음에 그 전문가가 기범이를 정말 아무 생각없고 단순한 캐릭터로 파악을 했다가 나중에 얘기하면서 놀라던 거..... 기범이는 그렇게 일차원적인 아이가 아니라 항상 대중이 팬이 어떤 모습의 자신을 원하는지를 파악하고 있던거....정말 신인 때였는데 그때부터 이아이는 참 다르다고 느낌

Kibum is so damn smart and it shows at every given occasion. His insights and intakes are always very interesting.

Kibum always have his own vision of things and it's always so interesting to hear his point of view on different subjects. I don't always share his opinion but he has a way of thinking and analyzing situations that amazes me. And he's always thinking about what he could achieve next, while already giving all he has through what he's currently doing. I really enjoyed his talk about his strenghts and how to use them wisely to give the best final product ! I stan an intelligent young man who still has so much things to achieve and I can't wait Also, I read that this was filmed before the terrible last year's event and I can't help but wonder if that changed anything. I personnally think that it gave him some kind of ""maturity"" which is reflected through his recent music and behaviour. Anyway, happy new year Shawols and everyone else !

한편으로는 '한번도 이러한 주제로 대화를 나눠본적이 없다' 이 부분에서 의아하다. 사실 key분의 업무환경은 콘텐츠 관련 실무진들이 다 같이 함께하는 환경아닌가? 그래서 관련 주제에 대한 내용을 평소에 많이 나눌것만 같았는데.. , 영상에서 공부도 , 커리어도 치열하게 고민하고 일을 해나간 흔적들이 느껴진다.

This was such an interesting video! I think I saw you with Kibum at Seoul Fashion Week last year and I've been wondering if you two were doing a project together. I've been a fan of Shinee for almost a decade now and this was one of the most interesting interviews I've seen. Thank you for posting it :)

I was always aware of this side to Key and frankly all of the members of SHINee but this is the first time where we as fans were able to see it without all of the editing and filtering and censoring-- just a raw, honest, intelligent conversation and *god* we stan the right guy. I am so excited to see where he takes his career from now on and we shawols will do our best to support your every endeavor. 수고했어요~
