Key Talks To His NEW HUSKY FRIEND! He’s So Happy! This is Storm, he's a 10 year old husky that talks a lot while playing, similar to Key's best friend Sherpa. For anyone wondering, the head halter is not a muzzle, it's just to help with walking. Every dog has their way of playing and it was cute watching Key and Storm figure each others play stye out. Key like to poke and hop while storm makes noise, jump and swings his butt around. This was an unexpected encounter as they walked past while I was working.

For anyone that isn't used to seeing this kind of play, it is JUST play. Watch their body language and you can see that Storm isn't being aggressive towards Key. Both tails are softly wagging, there are no actual bites, Storm shows his back to Key and his butt to sniff, an aggressive dog wouldn't expose themselves like this. Huskies are usually loud when they play, Key is just quiet having grown up playing with smaller breeds, but they love rough play. Both boys shake off, they snort, look away, bow, put their heads under each other's and open mouthed smile. All signs of friendly play. If there was any aggression from Storm Key would simply not play, he's been attacked in the past, multiple times and he knows an aggressive dog when he sees one. I also would never put Key in a dangerous situation. It was lovely seeing him find a friend and having a good play!

Thank you for explaining! I was getting mixed signals between the body language and the noises so it was a little confusing to me! (I've not had a Husky before so their play is different than what I've experienced with the dogs I've had). I also know you would never allow it to continue if Storm was being aggressive. Y'all make a great team! I look forward to your videos!

I bet Key will just knock the door down in his haste to see Sherpa and bulldoze Jamie with love and thanks. On Sherpas end, he’ll have kicked Jamie out of the drivers seat and driven like he’s BatDog (he’s not though. Completely different dog) to get to Key in record time.

To the people who are worried. This is how to male large breed dogs play. The growling is not vicious. Yes they are testing each others limits a bit with each one doing a bit of dominant behavior but nothing out the ordinary in this type of situation. Also Jodie and the other owner obviously know their dogs well enough to realize the difference between play and something else. She also knows that depsite all off the humors videos Key is still a dog and she treats him as such. We try to humanize our dogs too much and don't let them be dogs. Love your videos as always.

jap,dogs at play can look ridiculous rough,alot of snraling,growling,fake bites but nothing happens the only blood i ever saw in 17 years at such a play was when our dog bit his own tongue

True, its ridiculous to think that people like these are even allowed to own dogs without even knowing the basics of dog behavior.. Theres even one commenter who said Storm was aggressive because he had a muzzle and she goes on that its a sign of an aggressive dog... when in fact *its not even a muzzle* but a halting collar or a halti, to prevent dogs from pulling and choking.

Loved how Key “poked the bear” to get a reaction out of Storm! A lot of people would confuse this with fighting, but when you look at them smiling and wagging their tails you can see them just having fun together and familiarizing with one another!💕👏👏😁🧇🧇

I love how Key said hello to the lady. He is so polite! Jodie you have really done something exceptional. My Australian cattle dog Understands a lot. He will mumble and mimic speaking when trying to express himself. My boy has a gift for being able to communicate his wants and needs quite easily. He’s very sensitive to the world around him and he does want to be apart of it. But Key has a much deeper understanding of the world around him. When Key said “I like you” it was so awesome. Wow. I wish I could find out more of what my was thinking. It’s amazing he express himself using spoken language. You have given us a window in our own dog companion thought and what they make be thinking.

My dog does. It’s because she makes noises when she plays and makes it sound more dramatic than it actually is. To my dog it’s just noises and a play. But to my neighbours it sounds like she’s killing something 😂 she does such weird noises that I’ve never heard before it’s so weird I don’t even think it’s normal 😂

Jodie and Key, I enjoy your videos so much! I had a chow/husky that lived to be 15, I haven’t had a fur friend since. Your relationship reminds me so much of my Dozer and I that sometimes I tear up with joy in memory and loving you two. I talked with Dozer about everything and I believe that’s why he understood me so much. His personality was very close to Key’s. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful relationship with us. Please give Key my love and don’t ever stop talking with him about everything. Dozer understood two languages, English and Spanish. Huskies are smart 💙💙💙💙

This is really nice to see!! Both owners letting the dogs do their thing! It looks to me like Storm is trying to show key he is in charge (with the butt hits and extended mounting) and Key looks like he is challenging Storm's authority in the politest and nicest way I've seen a dog do so. This behaviour (setting boundaries and authority) is very common in dogs as they are pack animals and always want to figure out where they are in the pack.. so no need to worry guys! Problems occur more when people get too evolved between the dogs meeting. This is fine. I love seeing you guy's videos!! Keep up the awesome work :D

That awkward moment when I realized that Key make friends better than me lol 😂 They were just playing rough and loud but definitely not aggresive! Sniffing butts r like shakehands on human and u can tell from their body language that they like each other so just chill guys...

Nothing wrong with having a new friend. lol Huskies play and make noises that would frighten a regular person with a small dog, but they look like they are having a blast. Good for K'ey!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

I learned from GTTSD that that's just how huskies play. They like to wrestle and make noise. So I just try to remember that they are having fun and their responsible hoomans will know if it stops being play and intervene accordingly.

Maria Rev It’s not just huskies. My goldendoodles sound so vicious when they’re wrestling that it scares people. You are absolutely correct that we owners know the difference between play grrrs and real grrrs. 😁 What is GTTSD? I googled it, but nothing dog related popped up.
