In the first lecture of the Key Thinkers seminar series at the University of Melbourne, Ghassan Hage (curator of the series) talks about the work and principal ideas of acclaimed French sociologist and writer Pierre Bourdieu. The Key Thinkers seminar series comprises academics from The University of Melbourne, with occasional guests, giving an hour-long talk on internationally well-known thinkers whose works have inspired their own.

it was a wonderful lecture and beautiful insights by Prof Haze... undoubtedly, its entirely a different experience to listen about a thinker from another thinker and that too with reasoning and intellect... thanks for posting this lecture...

Thanks so much for the post. Having only read Distinction found Hage useful in personal ongoing develpoment. Did not touch on the 'pure gaze', which I found important throughout.
