Alright... I am updating this pinned comment because I cannot take reading the same, "Stormfront was inspired by Shazam" comment over and over. Stormfront was *not* inspired by Shazam. Ennis has stated that everyone in Payback was directly inspired by an Avenger. ADDITIONALLY, and MOST IMPORTANTLY. There is already a Shazam in The Boys universe. In Issue one of The Boys: Dear Becky, you see Butcher and the team cut off the tongue of a 10 year old boy who was that universe's version of Shazam. That is who was inspired by Shazam. @@KeyIssues Aside from the electricity, she also has a completely inverted shazam age theme. Shazam is a boy who can transform into an adult, while Stormfront is almost 100 years old and looks young. Although in gen v there was a guy whose power made him look like a boy so there is a similarity there too.

Starlight isn't inspired by Stargirl / Starman. Stargirl's powers are entirely based off her staff. The original comics came out in tandem with her first appearances, so likely had very little to do with Stargirl or Starman.

Mother's Milk to me is a mix of Micro (explains his relationship with Billy who's a punisher inspired character) and Nick Fury All three were CIA agents /Spies and have advanced military training and combat skills

I actually saw Gunpowder as a Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier parody but now I can see him as a Deathstroke/Deadshot And Scandal Savage is in the animated Suicide Squad Hell To Pay movie and she may be in Season 3 or 4 of Young Justice , she's pretty cool

Per Kripke and the show, she doesn’t have any enhanced abilities outside of intellect… so unless it’s demonstrated I can’t include it. Also keep in mind that there are a ton of heroes that don’t have regeneration or durability (Mesmer, mindstorm, ect)

I would also add Stargirl as an inspiration for Firecracker, sometimes in the comics but mostly in the DCAU she is depicted to have an inferiority complex from Supergirl's popularity and both of them have light/energy based powers.

To be a parody it has to be more than powers. In the comics stormfront is a guy, and he literaly looks like Shazan. However is germanic background, lighting powers, backstory (a revived viking warrior), and role in Payback (Avengers) makes him just like Thor. The series Stormfront looks more like Mary Marvel and Jane Foster Thor. Also Storm would be Nubia in the Boys Universe.

Less of a disagreement, more of an addition: I'm fairly certain that the TNT Twins were also inspired by the Fenris Twins from Marvel. Firing blasts activated by touching each other is a power that the Von Struckers possess. I don't think that's a power the Wonder Twins have, their powers are traditionally shape changing.

In Gen V I feel like Cate takes some inspiration from Emma Frost (villain), not entirely based on her looks but also powers, trauma, a fair hatred for humans, and even her degree of empathy/ sympathy for Marie despite clashing with her. While Emma has been depicted as cold, calculating and ruthless, her care for her students makes me imagine what Cate would be like older

Correction: Sister Sage has a healing factor and lobotomizes herself to feel a high as her brain is constantly evolving so she can't enjoy simple things. So she stabs her brain to feel high while she heals.

How is Black Noir not a Deadpool stand-in? Masked, disfigured, infantilised persona with halluccinations and turning the merc with a mouth mute for kicks. He's neither a detective nor uses that many gadgets. I'd say Tek Knight is way more of a Batman.

There was a character in the Boys name Vikor who was a clear inspiration from Thor also i think Captain Marvel (DC) Had some inspiration to stormfront.

Is Thor and Shazam. Storm counterpart in The Boys is Nubia. Also you thinked that because she is female, because in the comics the character is male and he looks exactly like Shazan with just some minor differences.
