I did this to my little schnauzer years back. She always had to get the last word in.. She actually found the battery pouch , pulled it out and got the last word. Must have been the shaking she did to it for talking back to her, cause sure she had no clue what the battery did.

Yes, put the bird higher up. Not only will it be safe, But husky can't reach it, which would make the dog go insane.

I agree but you also don't to frustrate sweet Key too much. She has a nice balance going here as well. I'm not so sure if Key wants to tear the bird up. Perhaps, possibly, over time. Bit of a risk. Also, I am sure the woman wouldn't want to give key such an opportunity with corrosive batteries inside. I don't know what that balance is bit I certainly want to see more as well. I just, as I was typing this response, had n amusing thought: I wonder what a second one-would be like. Imagine---with the proviso that Key not go after either of the parroting toys---the, no doubt, sweet and hilarious scene that would unfold. While key focuses on the first, and a second one repeats the first parrots repeat of Key's sounds as well as, if any, of Key's sounds as he is surprised by the second parrot.
