What a memorable two days of fishing with your dad. As a father, I just enjoy having my son on the boat with me, but when you add a full cooler, it takes it to a different level, good food and drinks to follow. Aaron, you are truly blessed. Living the dream my friend!!!

Fish at 23:30 looks like an Offshore Hake to me; merluccius albidus. Not a very well-known species but I've heard they usually stay deeper than 100 fathoms. Pretty cool to see!

That was the type of trip with my Dad I miss. When he was on his final 2:00 Minutes .... he wanted to go the Keys and everglades. I was fortunate to fish with someone of your caliber Aaron, who took us across the bay and lifted the skiff over the lock and in the same day my Dad caught his first bonefish and florida largemouth bass. As I watched this amazing memory maker with your father, I couldn't help but remember. Thank you as always for making my Monday's easier.... Aaron, I think it is ok to admit that you just looooove diving, he he he, fishing is just a hobby, whereas diving is your life. He he he. (I mean it's a joy to watch you in action underwater). Whereas for us topside fishermen, super clear water is a challenge we have to take on with lighter leader and more precise presentation. your solution (jumping in) is super fun to watch in action. fishing with Dad...nothing better, sorry girls. I grew up surf fishing in Southern California with my Dad from Long Beach all the way to Rosarita Beach in Mexico. He called it legalized vagrancy 'cause a fishing license was three bucks and bait was practically free. Our best years were in the '50s and '60s. I'd give anything for another day fishing with him.

I did a lot of deep dropping for tiles before selling my boat a few years back. Really enjoyed this Vid, brought back the excitement i used to get seeing the rod tip bounce and hear the reel whine & strain when the rod would load & double over with a fatty or multiple... Same when you'd see birds over Tuna busting on the surface and troll a pink feather through them waiting for that long shotgun to start screaming... Epic comes to mind. Thanks for letting us live vicariously with you.

I can only imagine how nice it must be to have a good relationship with your father and get to spend good times with him and your wife together. Unfortunately, my father hasn't spoken to me in 4 years as I didn't go down the same career path he had chosen for me. I became an Orthopedic surgeon instead of a Neurosurgeon, and according to him I took the easy way out. Oh and none of my material possessions were on the level of his. Pretty sad....

I gotta tell yah,,, the entire moray eel event was gold. In those situations, I’ve always had a tendency to sit back, hand me my beer please, and enjoy the show ,,,priceless and something the three of you,,and all your KZfaq acquaintances can laugh at for years ! Thank you for sharing that ! We have North Atlantic Wolf fish (Wolfie), get pretty big. I’ve also seen big Atlantic eels that look very similar to what you hooked, similar green colour and much thicker body. Apparently they are a delicacy, but I never taken one.
