I used to work at KFC, and with all the BS that they pull on their employees, they at least should give them more than the 8$ an hour I was getting. I'm telling you, they overwork those people big time, plus KFC is set up to fail, because the chicken takes 16-22 minutes to cook, and it is very hard to predict how much you are going to need. Also, it goes bad very quickly, so you can only make a few batches at a time, or else you will waste more than the restaurant can afford. Same with all the side dishes. Sometimes people will order a ton of chicken, and the store will then be out until the next batch is done. So that means that we had to tell the customers that they had a 20 minute wait. I had customers yell at me almost every time this happened, either that or they would angrily ask for the manager, or just leave. What I experienced there was not worth the 8$ per hour, and even if they started offering 20$/hour with health and dental, I still wouldn't recommend working there.

Alotta places get tons of apps from people just online filling out applications.. They are more likely to hire someone who actually seems like they REALLY want the job.
