I have a 1974 CB350 Four that sat for 7-8 years and ended up doing a re sync of the carbs and flushed out all the fluids, new spark plugs and wires and she fired right up... What A Beautiful Machine!!!

Co-incidentally, when I tested many years ago for my motorcycle licence, the only person I knew who was able to ride with me under the restrictions was my 84 year old grandfather, and his steed at the time, was a beautiful 350 Four like this one. It's one of the most treasured memories I have of him, he taught me so much about motorcycling and life in general, I miss him everyday. RIP Grampa

Most of those 1970s Honda bikes will last for generations if they're cleaned up regularly because they're built so simple that hardly anything can break. And the sound is just so much better than any of those supersport bikes you hear on the road today.

When my buddy and I were 12, we had small Honda 50cc motorcycles and we road around the his father's field every summer racing and feeling like hell's Angel's. In 1970 when my buddy and I were both 16, he bought a brand new red/white Honda CB350 twin cylinder. He got his license in the spring since his birthday was in January. Mine was in August and I had a CB160 at the time. I remember him taking off down the road and all I could do is watch green with envy. I got my motorcycle license that September but summer was over. But I remember that CB350 he had like it was only yesterday. That bike was amazingly fast! A couple years later Honda came out with the CB350 4 cylinder. I never road one but I couldn't imagine it being any faster than that 350 he had. We were kids, and the memories linger. Time is fleeting

That exact bike served me faithfully for 5 years through college. It was a wreck when I got it and did the same quick rebuild to get it running and usable. What a trip down memory lane! My roommates had a bet that I couldn't successfully rebuild those carbs. Nice to see one running again.

Mr. Honda's CB series escalated motorcycling to a new dimension. These are among the most beautifully engineered/manufactured motorcycles of all time. Thank you Mr. Honda and your engineering team for your gift.

Very cool, I did something similar back in the early 1960's with a 1949 Cushman motor scooter I found in an elderly ladies garage. It had been parked since about 1952 when her husband died. It was not as involved as it was a singular cylinder and carb with a magneto but I rode it for a long time. Best part was I was 14 years old and cut her lawn weekly, she let me have it FREE and I worked it off

I have a 1973 the same color. I bought it new . I still have it. It still runs. It made a trip across the united States In 1976. It ran 80,85 mph all day long In 114 degree temps. Smooth ride no vibration in fact this motorcycle was one of the most smoothest motorcycles ever made. Made in 1972 and 1973..... Mine has Jordene tuned headers and was rejetted. 10,000 rpm redline it only weighs about 375 lbs. Power to weight ratio make this a fun bike to ride.....

If that little Honda could talk, it would probably say, "Aww jeeze...thanks guys." Outstanding work.

I had one these and it looked just like that one. It was the same color and everything.Mine even had the 4 into two exhaust also. I could park it over the winter and next spring all you had to do was turn on the ignition, set the choke and barely bump the starter button and the engine was running. It was the greatest little bike I ever had. When I let other people ride it they were stunned by the gobs of low end torque that the engine produced. I could only get it to top out at 105mph but the low end take off was amazing. This video brought back a lot of found memories for me. Thanks for posting.

And the dead shall rise again! Loved these early multi-cylinder 4 strokes. In my riding days I always wanted a nice 350/550-4.... but got turned on to rice burners instead, so..... went out and bought a brand spanking new Yamaha RD 400(‘76) and IMO, nothing else is equal to the sound of a 2 stroke engine coming into it’s powerband. Still, the last bike I drove was the classic Honda CB900F Super Sport (‘83) and I put plenty o’miles on that baby! Thanks for the memories 🏍🏍

In England we only got the 400/4. I bought an old one from a friend's sister soon after I left school. I used to cruise around the country lanes all day pretending I was in Chips. Great fun, still miss that little bike 40 years on.

I had a blue '71 CB350F in high school. Wasn't as cool as the kids with camaros or mustangs, but I loved that little bike.

This was my first bike. It did my heart good to watch this. I had a lot of fun and some good adventures on mine. I swore back then that those 350CB's were damn near indestructible. 40mph/4000rpm in 4th gear iirc (but it's been several decades).

Love the workmanship, didnt think about the soda blasting.

I've got an old 70's Honda CB750 in my barn (non- runner ) , but I was riding my "81" Yamaha single in the past years 😀 , Great video .

Just came across this video and it brought back some great memories. In 1982, I made my first long distance motorcycle tour from Virginia to Daytona Beach for Bike Week with four other guys. I was riding a 1981 Honda CB750K. One of the others was on a CB350F his father had found not long before our trip. It looked just like the one in this video but cleaner, with a four-into-one exhaust and standard seat. His dad was along on the ride on his 1977(?) CB750F Super Sport. Before we left they went over the 350F refreshing fluids, checking valve adjustment and doing a compression check. They slapped a big Plexiglas windshield on it and off we went. I remember the sound of the single exhaust header screaming smoothly as he flew down I-95 and I-26 with the throttle pinned in top gear. The bike ran like it was new and without any problems on the nearly 1,400 mile round trip. An impressive little jewel!!

My first Bike was a 1974 350-4. It was red like this one and I miss it like a brother. It was my only means of transportation and I rode it to and from work year round for 2 years, rain snow, sun or sleet. I put 26,000 miles on that little boy and it treated me well.

Ahh the memories. My 1st new bike in 74 was a 350F, in high school I had the 2nd biggest bike. Traded it for my 2nd new bike a 78 CB750K. Now I have a 72 CB350F project bike in the shop. So much of what you show is still so familiar. Thanks.

Years ago, my wife had one of these 4 cylinder bikes and it ran like a well oiled sewing machine. It has a beautiful basic design.

I had been working 2 paper routes for 2 years, saving up for a Honda XL125, when my dad spots a 2 year old CB350F in the newspaper for sale for $600. I really want a dual-sport, but dad wants me to check this out. I fell in love. At 14 - nearly 2 years before I could get a license, I bought my first motorcycle. Dad would ride me down to the schoolyard, where I would practice using the clutch, shifting, braking, and eventually all the other skills I'd need to pass my test. That was a great bike. I once rode with a group of Gold Wing touring bike riders, and had no problem keeping up with them, despite their spirited pace. Before I got my license, my dad would ride the bike to work occasionally. When I got my license and could start riding it regularly, he had to get his own bike. But by then the 350 Four had been replaced by the 400 Supersport, so that's what he got. And he hated the low handlebars. He got the bars from a 750, and I got the low bars for my 350F. We were both happy. I rode quite a bit with my dad. Good times. Thanks for stirring up some fond memories, and thanks for bringing another 350 Four back from the dead.

Great find ! The CB350 was one of the slickest smoothest and running engines ever made. It is a jewel of and engine and only has 11,000 miles wow.

Rode one of those in my younger years. Loved it!

I learned how to ride on one of them. Originally came with a four into four exhaust system. Found memories, wish i still had it.

Seafoam works wonders. 10 years my 1976 360 sat. Carbs gum up in the little tiny holes. Seafoam cleaned it out. Had a similar problem in 1976 with a Suzuki X6 but even with a week of carb soak I had a dead spot in the low speed circuit.

Thank you sir. What a great video! Thank you so much for showing your baking soda blasting. The carbs from my Z900 restoration were terrible and had to go to a specialist for rebuilding. It took them three times longer than advertised and cost a horrendous amount. I’ve always loved the little 350/4. They were (are) rare in England, the later 400 is quite common and a favourite first restoration for a lot of people, but I prefer the more classic look of the 350. I hope you can find original exhausts, that would make a full restoration into a joy.

Enjoying my Thursday night. I stumbled across your channel and this video. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this. It brought me back to a time I remember fondly. The care and the attention to detail blew me away. You didn't, right off the bat try to start it up. You did all the necessary maintenance to restore it in fine maniacal order. amazing. I have to wonder how many days this project took. I'm surprised you found parts. I have a history with this motorcycle, well not this very one but you know. Yeah, the two-stroke twins would eat it alive but there was absolutely no beating this little bike in smoothness both in ride and sound. It was slow and yeah, it was heavy but looking back the bike was eons ahead of its time. I note the high idle after the ride. I assume this will go away after a carb recalibration. I envy your find. I noted on another channel about this bike. His approach was "Why Would Honda build a 350 4?" and went on to dog the little bike. I wanted to bitchslap him. I haven't researched the subject but I read somewhere the resell value of this bike today is astronomical. I can not believe how clean it is considering its age. Looks like it was almost kept in an airtight vault. Thank you for sharing this, sir. Cheers from Louisiana.

I had a CB400 twin and then a CB360CL twin with the upswept exhaust pipes to make it a bit more off road capable I guess. Loved them both. The view of the bike as you were riding brought back memories. Wish I hung on to those as I'd love to ride them today.

When riding a bike, make sure to always wear your safety crocs.

This would be worth a full resto. Very good underestimated motorcycle. A friend used to race one for years in Post Classic 500cc class and was extremely reliable. Candy red is the best color.

I wish you would have tested it to a higher rev. The sound they make after 7 grand is absolutely vicious and seems like it's punching above its weight. Had one in 1975 and it never let me down ... the only difference between yours and what I had is a four into one exhaust ... Nicely Done Sir ... Nicely Done .. :)

I will always remember the CB350F for being a trail blazer. I owned a Yamaha, but I respected the bike that began the change to four cycle engines. We weren't arrogant then, and starter bike wasn't in our vocabulary. We bought what we could afford, and had the best of times riding it. That doesn't exist today when fine motorcycles are described in terms that I don't understand.

Bought mine in Wichita Kansas brand new on floor for 1175.00 feb13 1974. Same color and trim. Loved that bike eventually want to have one again

A coworker of mine had one of these. The 350 four cylinder was a rare bike. MOs bikes with engines that size were twins. The same with the CB400 four. In fact, Honda had a whole range of four cylinder bikes. Cool stuff!
