We heard that Nossob and Polentswa is known for their lions. But we didn’t realise how many we would see in one day 😱
We started our morning at the beautiful Rooiput, we packed up camp left as soom as we could. At the Rooiputs turn off we met up with silver eye as he was walking down the road. We didn’t stay with him to long and because we saw him yesterday evening and we still had a long way to go. Just before Jan se draai we had a fantastic sighting of four lions and enjoyed a cheeky little male. Just after Jan se draai we got our third sighting of a mating pair of lions, it was Rikus’s first big black maned lion. We headed up to Polentswa, pitched our tent and went to the waterhole where we were blessed with our fours lion sighting. A massive pride of lions! We stayed with them until we had to go home.
Polentswa is really an amazing place and will forever have a special place in my heart.
We can’t wait to share the rest our Kgalagadi adventure with you! Subscribe to our channel if you don’t want to miss out on the rest!

I must say that the lion shot in the rear reversing camera was very unique. haven't seen many content creators do that. such small details are the real constituents of a great vid.

Hi Lynn! O wow thank you for the compliment. We honestly think of ourselves as amateurs 😖🙈 We still have a lot to learn when it comes to photography and videography (I am blessed to have a brother that studied photography that we learn from). So we don’t feel like we are on the standard to teach others yet 🙈 But maybe on our next trip we can share a bit of what settings we use and so on 🙌🏼 thanks for the suggestion!

@@staywithstacy.andrikus Sounds great! I think your photographs turn out really good! And your videos have good quality too. I would love to hear from your experiences even if it is “amateur”😃Like, do you shoot in manual mode? Shutter priority? Switch between different modes? Maybe give a few examples of how you do in different situations : moving animal vs still animal, bad light.. So far I mostly shoot in automatic mode, so I am not at all optimizing what could be done. But I do think about composition, light, steadiness etc and manage to get some good shots 😊

@@lynnlopresti5869 we really appreciate it. This is a massive compliment for us 🙏🏼 Thank you for the suggestions as well 🤩 We will definitely bring more of that aspect into our vlogs on the next trip 🙌🏼 We can definitely teach or explain the basic of manual mode. But honestly one just needs to practice. My brother taught us the basics of manual mode 3 days before our Kruger trip in January 2021 and we decided that we would dedicate that trip to learning. So we put our camera on manual and only used manual the whole trip. There were lots of photos that went horribly wrong, don’t get me wrong. But if we didn’t force ourselves to do it that trip, I don’t think we would be using manual now. 🙌🏼
