I played Kingdom Hearts, but it's RE TRANSLATED. This mod is made by a very talented group of people, and I highly recommend you download this mod and try it for yourself after watching the video!

Hey all! I know that my big head is in the way of the subtitles! I thought it wouldn't be a big deal since the text is unchanged and nobody in my Twitch chat complained about it, but in hindsight it would have been cool for you guys to see the text for comparison. There's nothing I can do now to fix it since this video is almost a year old at this point, so while I appreciate people bringing it up, nothing will come of it. When it comes to the audio balancing, I can't do anything about that to fix it. My entire Twitch chat said the audio was fine, and a majority of viewers here have no problem with it. A lot of the dialogue in Re Translated is just really quiet, while some dialogue is loud. The whole point of this video in the first place is to showcase my reactions to the mod and encourage people to try it for themselves. If you would like to hear the cutscenes completely uninterrupted, you can download the mod or go to the Re: Translated channel that is linked in the description. TLDR: Any problems with this video can't be fixed. It was uploaded almost 1 year ago. I apologize, but please stay respectful.

@@skyhighlander6447 there's a classic short where Donald gets hit on the head by a flower pot and gets his speech impediment fixed. He also gets a deep voice pretty similar to what they done here. I assume the Ducktales episode was also a reference to that.

I think my favorite part about this isn't even the new dialogue. It's how much quality is in the voice acting, the retexturing, and even the effort to line up the lip flaps is amazing. I went in expecting a quality the equivalence of a shitpost or youtube poop, but no this redub honestly rivals the original game. 10/10

I think putting it through Chinese before going back to English got rid of a lot of side effects of Japanese Google translate, but one thing it kept was when Riku says "Mind" instead of "heart". In Japanese they can be the same word. The mod was funny af all the same, i was honestly surprised how many lines somehow stayed the same as the OG English dialogue.

Honestly I was hoping for a few more layers.. like usually these "Google Translate" things are like.. 7 languages deep not.. 2.. so like.. a lot of stuff didn't have time to get zany.. like sure there were some bangers in the video but some other times seen translated stuff every line is just absolutely hilarious, for example in a Pokemon rom I've seen that is "Vietnamese Crystal" a random scientist NPC just says "Derp! Drug Bag Fuck"

I think that's part of the appeal. Juust enough of the dialogue is standard, so when something weird comes out of the woodworks, it's much more jarring. It's subtle... simple, even. It reminds me a lot of abridging.

She called him "Sola" because his name in japanese is written as the katakana ソラ which can be interpreted as a transliteration of "Sora" or "Sola" and not 空 which is the kanji for "sky"

I think what they were doing with Donald was sorta like what was done in the newer Ducktales cartoon, there was a part where when Donald's voice was cleared up. He was voiced by Don Cheadle. Which conceptually, I love cause that's funny as hell

To the people who put in so much effort into this fun project, thank you so much! 😂 I’ve been laughing so hard at the silly retranslated lines fully voiced by everyone who participated in this mod but also got really impressed by the extra effort to even retranslate and retexture the signages(in matching font) around Traverse Town. Some of the best parts are when the lines are nearly identical, but just slightly off. Because of the fan re-dub, it comes across as a fan dub where they don’t have the script and only sort of remember the lines.

I have to say, there will never be any creative idea then to have the national anthem as the villain of the game! XD. Thats one of the funniest bits of the game!

i'm speaking with sincerity, i think this is how my friends and i are gonna replay the kh games. we all played the remixes maybe 6 or so years ago and loved em to death, but we've been meaning to play them again before kh4 releases, and this just seems like the best way to do it
