First time I saw an advance baggage handling system with valuable guidance to passengers. Very happy to fly with Emirates.

LUGGAGE TIP: Tie two or three colored ribbons of different lengths around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it. Use a man’s “half windsor” knot for the best look. Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, turnstile........ Use 3/4” wide ribbons about 12-14” long. Cut the ends at 45 degrees then seal the end with one drop of Super Glue to prevent fraying. If each ribbon is slightly a different length by 1/2” or so, they will all show no matter what. Tie the 3 ribbons as if it were one ribbon using a half Windsor knot. After it is tied on, the total length of the ribbons will be about 5-6” from the handle. A little longer ribbon shows up better. You can see it from 40 feet away. Perhaps tie two handles, top and side of case. Put your phone number on one ribbon using a permanent Sharpie. Choose one ribbon to have an unusual pattern or fabric to really make it unique. Lay all 3 ribbons on top of one another. Then tie them with a half Windsor knot, same as a man uses. Stand by the output hole of the turnstile to reduce the chance of someone else grabbing the piece. Tie your skiies, duffel bag, and what ever with matching ribbons-even your computer case. If you are a Travel Agent, you could gold stamp one ribbon with your name and phone number. Then send a set of ribbons, red and blue and black to your customer as a gift. Record this gift in your database so you don’t duplicate yourself. Buy a gold hot embossing machine. Gold emboss your business name on the black ribbon. If there is a way to put the customer’s name on it, do that.

Everything was great until they got to the baggage handler and he didn't look too happy!

Wow, all I ever see of my bag is on the conveyer belt behind the ticket person, and then I see it loaded on the aircraft. This is so amazing!!!

Seriously if the bags go through all that process and we get them in a minute, then Dubai country is so modernise 😍😍😍

Well they lost my bag. Last month and never even apologise for losing it. Now I'm flying back (with my New luggage) and I'm really scared they are going to loose it again.

No wonder why Dubai airport is busiest of the world. Where I lived near airport I see each every planes land every 24hrs in a minute nonstop. There bes 5, 6 planes landing in line in a minute. It's so difficult to handle Air traffics u need so much brains to control them. Hats off to Dubai Airport company.

We proudly lose only 3000 bags a day here ,out of 160,000 .

Involves more men and equipments than one could imagine..!

However many international passengers in Dubai are from connections, so doesn't that mean they don't come on the carousel and is just sorted behind the baggage claim?

My bags got lost, and they haven't done anything to find them worse thing is, they brought me and my son gifts which were in the bags... Although they were informed no one has gotten back to us. Come on Emirates... Bad service.

It's my very unpleasent experience I very ever had when I flight on Emirates airlines from Manchester to Dubai so I lost my luggage and had nothing as a compensation and not getting it back yet

Good service baggage system automation security, if you steal in Dubai you get ponishment lots of cctv cameras on airport. On streets, lot of camera on the spot. Dubai was strict country, if you steal do bad be ware or get ponishment from king of dubai.

His hi Vis wasn't done up, £50 fine if you're caught like that in Manchester Airport baggage hall!
