People who have been following Sahil Adeem know that he doesn't speak clearly on any topics. He says something and then jumps into another topic. He has no valid points and always leaves people confused. I had been following him, but I never understood his points and wondered what he was actually trying to prove.

Sahil Adeem should not have used the word jahil for women. Whether it was staged or not, that’s besides the point. Don’t insult women on a show meant to discuss women’s rights. Sahil Adeem could have explained his point and taghoot word properly, educate people not insult them.

Sahil adeem said in show that your father should not take the decision of your wife, he basically was saying to stop being a man child . When you can not even take a decision properly then why bother to marry and ruin someone's life . Its not about being against father or family . It's about your own decision making quality .

Taghout is a common Arabic word. It’s just another word for shaitan, which itself means rebel. For example any entity that claims to be worthy of worship is a rebel against Allah, which we also call shaitan or taghout. Similarly, any entity that goes against any directive of Allah can be termed taghout.

Once Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza said that sahil adeem lives in a world of dreams and now I couldn't agree more. He was so right about him. As he was not brought up in Pakistan that's why he don't understand grass root problems of Pakistani people. He only heard of the problems and gives an idealistic solution to it which is often not possible for us, as we don't live in an ideal world. In my opinion his Islamic knowledge is also very limited, most of the times he presents his own thinking and gives an Islamic touch to paint it as islamic perspective. Well I think it's high time that Arabic should be taught in schools. If not, atleast parents should take responsibility to educate their own children on this. Definition of Jahil in Islam differs from Pakistani definition. In Pakistan if a person has gone to maddrassah only and hasn't got his degree, and if he's not pursuing ilm as a career, you will call him jahil. If a person can't talk well in English you will call him jahil. In Arabic/Islamic context "Jahil" is someone who's ignorant of the truth and believes in something that's different from the reality. So if Islam tells you to do hijab and I believe that it's not important/necessary. Then I am a Jahil. When you want to cure a disease, the first step is to identify it and accept that it's a disease. Same goes for this situation, if you don't want to be called jahil again, first accept the fact that if you are in your 20's and you don't know the basics of Islam then you are jahil. As far as Sahil Adeem is concerned, he's been doing the research and tableegh for a while now. I've attended his sessions on "Emotional Independence of Women" and his team conducts proper surveys with well structured questionnaires to asses the sampling. So anyone criticising Sahil Adeem should once do his/her research. He's worked in Telecommunications for more than a decade. He's learnt advanced neuroscience and psychology and has done (maybe still does) one on one business consultation/counselling with millionaires and billionaires. He studied from renowned teachers in Madrassah settings in his teens. He's fluent in Arabic. He's way more knowledgeable than most of our religious scholars out there. He's conducted classes on Arabic, Islamic way of right parenting etc for kids and adults on his platform. He's not the one to brag but he's doing soo much for so long now. And if he sounds so confident in his debates, it's because of his education(both Islamic and worldly), experience and exposure. We need people like him. If this generation accepts their shortcomings only then they'll be able to educate the next generation. Dear Momin and Emaan The understanding that you both had of the term Taghut is right. The word taghut has roots in taa-ghaa-yaa which in arabic connotes trangression/rebellion. Word Taghut in this noun form is used to personify the utmost transgression that a human can perform, i.e taking a false God. And these false gods ( taghut) are described in the Eight Ayaat where Allah has used this term - taghut is not just idols, but also human nafs ( following own desires and whims) when it goes against Allah. So indeed when we do anything to just please ourselves or please parents/spouses/children or for societal approval WHEN we know that it will be defying Allah / transgression His laws and commands then we are committing shirk by taking a false God. The protocol of having Allah as the Only God is Samayna ( we hear) wa Ata’na ( and we obey). So whenever we transgress this protocol, we will have committed a form of shirk by taking our nafs or societal norms as False Gods ( who we hear and obey). I wish Sahil Adeem follow the way of the learned, who dont ‘flaunt’ knowledge but rather ‘share’ it. As for the girl, her demand for apology wasted the opportunity to lay the facts straight: 1- there is no proof behind the quoted stats 2- what was the learned scholar doing to improve the stats of knowledge transfer to females because he seemed to be so concerned

However, in the present times when we Pakistanis don't have much to take pride in and are struggling with identity crisis, our language Urdu is the only cultural asset we are left with. You guys, being trend setters are requested to refrain from using Hindi dialect. I hear u use khulasa instead of inkishaf, and ji instead of sahab when mentioning someone. These are some of the examples. We overseas Pakistanis know that Indians have a lot of admiration for Urdu and its expected from influencers like you to preserve it among the youngsters.
