it´s tough love, I don´t want to hurt the plants but propagating is the main reason for them to exist (for us too lol).. you´re essentially doing those plants the biggest favor by helping them pass down their genes ;)

Lol I’ve killed so many. I killed them while trying to figure out the best ways to propagate them. I have also made many mistakes during my propagation journey (that killed them). But now I know about how not kill them so I won’t be making the same mistakes ever again. Killing them is ok as long as you learn never to make the same mistake again.

Succulents are like cacti, they only need watering like 1-4 times a week. Dont water them daily with a can and spray water or at least something that doesnt give too much water. Just a question, do you live somewhere with a decent amount of sunlight everyday? Succulents need at least 6 hours or over sunlight.

@@havingfuninlearning7084 That's worked about 98% of the time for me. They get all of the water, nutrients and resources they need from their own leaves. I think this is by design. In nature the leaves fall onto the soil or ground and just root by themselves.

I live in central FL and now at the end of June it’s extremely HOT & HUMID here. I’ve put some of my leaves w/o soil and some that were ready for soil (they grew the tiny plant and roots) in direct and indirect sunlight. On many of mine, the old leaf that the new plants were started from turned brown and “soggy” feeling. I think the humidity and unpredictable scattered torrential rain have had a lot to do with the number of plants I’ve lost to rot 🙁, as well as contributing to mealy bug infestation 😢. When I watered the ones on/in soil I used either a mister or a trickle of water a couple millimeters from the plant end to encourage the roots to seek the water. I just wanted to say that if you live in a hot humid environment your plants may need careful watching. If you have any info to help with these issues I’d love to hear it. By the way I love your videos and have learned so much from you 🌵💚. Thanks so much!!

I’m talking about the cluster of pups which I don’t get right at the mother leaf. Mine has, what I call a tail, with the pups on top of that. I laid them on top of dry soil and that’s how they formed.

Hi quick question! Hopefully you see this and reply 😭🙌 as far as the soil goes, does it have to be quick draining soil specifically for succulents/cactus or does it have to be regular potting soil for the propagation rooting process? If it does have to be regular potting soil, when would you say it's ideal to transfer to its corresponding quick draining succulent/cactus soil? And for the leafs themselves and that time frame of 30 days, would you recommend putting them outside where they get direct sunlight for a few hours a day or inside your home near direct lighting??
