Sweet memory from Kao I Dang Camp. I am looking for friends who lived in Kao I Dang between 1984-1988. Friends in the camp were so sincere and innocent. I can forget the day when we lived in the camp. Live was hard but we enjoyed it. Thank you for uploading the old pictures and song.

Thanks for sharing these pictures, I was there at the age of 9 or 10 years old between 1979-1982. These pictures bring back a lot of sad emotions for our family, it was difficult time for all the Khmer people. I'm glad I made it through the dark time, it gave me precious life lesson but I don't want to go through it again

I was searching for the refugee camp in Thailand where I was staying from 1975 to 1979 but couldn't find anything. I believe the camp is called Komput.

Thanks kolapredbokor. I'm so glad that I still have had these photo with me. Each and every time I looked at these photo they always reminded me the life and the places that we went through as a refugee in Thailand and Philiippine.

Thank you for sharing. I have never been in Khao I Dang camp, but I had aunts and uncles lived there before they went to Toronto, Canada. They are all now doing very well and wealthy. I know how you all felt when you live in the camp. I used to lived in Cuchi camp in Vietname for one year with my long distant relative and my two brothers. It was so sad at that time.

Wish i could remember but then again i was only an infant in 82. I love this video so much because there were actual smiles from people that were battered and at one point in their life seem no hope.

I missed Khao I Dang very much...remind me lot of memories...

Thank you for posting this video. As I went through half of this video I literally cried because it brought back the memories. I began to realise that our people including me and family went through so much. First time ever being away from our homeland, taking refuge in another country, being moved from camp to camp, got treated really bad by the Thai. We were sad and homesick but at the same time everyone was full of excitement and hope to further to the western countries we called Protehtibei.

I haven't seen any of my photos in Khao I Dang Refugee Camp The Khao I Dang Camp was opened on 21 November 1979 after 1 week later I had been there at section 5 which located across the Khmer Temple and I had moved to section 1 near the toilet near Hospital 1 when the kitchen was on fired I had been there after 3 months later I had relocated to section 19 near Church. On 13 April 1980 I was transferred to Phanatnikhom Holding Center Chon Buri, Thailand by I R C agency the end of 1983 I was transfered again to Battann, Philipines on I-219
