Price includes two full-time polishing cloth technicians. You'll have to provide a room for them to sleep, but they do bring their own air mattress.

It feels like some manufactures are using audio gear as a get rich quick scheme with the utterly absurd prices.

without actual quality, reputation, hard work and dedication, you won't get "rich quick" with loudspeakers. That market is very competitive. Why would billionaires buy from losers?

Of course hard work and dedication. What about the law of diminishing returns for the consumer be that for a billionaire or otherwise?@@CountOfWoodlands

I’m noticing trends on high end speakers…. Line arrays; WMTMW; multiple tweeters, mids, and woofer drivers; large and heavy; rear facing mid drivers; unique shapes; high end finishes; inside they have very high end crossovers or no crossovers at all; driven by super amps. McIntosh and Tekton Design have speakers with similar technical designs.

Disagree though, even Japanese has much better than rotting USA and Germany, including Alpine F#1 Status is better than Burmester, B&W, Bang and Olufsen, etc. Then you should live around the world all alone since childhood be a complete multiracial multilingual like me.

I have 10k and 12k speakers and they sound different, but do they blow out of the water or sound 12x better than my Elac Uni-fi reference UFR52, no way! :)) I think the name, design, materials used are what inflate the price, but the sound quality improvement is minimal and sometimes is a lateral or backwards move if your current system is not appropriate for ultra expensive speakers. 🤔

Thing is with audio gear, there is law of diminishing returns. Spending boatloads of money on 50k cables, 100k + speakers, 15k DAC, 100k Power Amp etc. will not give you a noticeable sound performance increase. There is a limit to human hearing anyways and the speakers cannot exceed that limitation. 5k gear compared to 20k or 50k can have a significant different but once you start going over 100k it’s just snake oil and nothing more. You gain aesthetics and nothing more. there are speakers such as faber, b&w, KEF that are significantly less say 850k + less, add high quality separate subs and performance will be about the same if not better and even looks better. There is always a sucker born every minute. Capitalism at its ugly best. Even Wilson speakers 100k + 800+ powered speakers can be put to shame a lowly Def Techs top of the line that are also powered for a fraction of the cost. Sure the def techs aesthetically are not even on same level as the Wilsons but performance wise it’s close enough you ask why buy Wilsons for 100k when Def Tech for under 10k can do the same thing.
