-Teleports infront of an entire grey knights detachement and asks who broke the armistice? -Grey Knights grandmaster steps forward and asks for forgiveness. -Before anyone can react, Grimnar slices the grandmaster and four other grey knights open like fucking tomatoes. -Refuses to elaborate and teleports back to his damaged battle barge and makes the 10.000 year old flagship of the grey knights eat shit for good measure. What a fucking legend.

Why isn't the Salamanders named the Dragons instead? It irks me to no end. WHY? It would instantly make them so much more awesome and awe inspiring. @R O while I get where you're coming from, the inquisition is actually an *essential part of the imperium*. Sure they're a bunch of jerks, but the services they provide keep the empire from falling apart. If I remember clearly, those rejects you play as in Darktide come under the authority of the inquisition.

@@myself2noone Even Satanic-panic era of State/Corporate PSAs on the civil public of Imperium's planets prevents 99% of the cult members from even establishing, it would redirect their public attentions to be productive yet healthily growing members of Imperium while having their development (and even innovations) doesn't got corrupted so easily by Chaos This is like horus heresy main problem is due to Emperor of Mankind being a bad dad, so it is humanity mostly messing up themselves for millennias of Warhammer settings, especially during Age of Apostasy, Month of Shame and the times they ruins xenos-alliances from taking down more of Chaos/Warp and Tyrannids/Orks infestations, it could even culling the problems of Drukharis if they could be more civil and patient in diplomacy, it's just idiocracy all around, despite "The End Times"/Wolf Time/whatever it is will probably never happens At least they can go All Tomorrows route but Space Marines looks cooler, Cawl being creatively productive for The Imperium in current 40K timeline is a boon for "movement and progression" as Fanfiction TTS EoM said about Magnus' confessions in episode 19

He has one of the greatest, if not most subtle, lines in the emperor’s gift. Let me just set the stage for you: when grimnar meets with the inquisition there is a psyker woman trying to chastise him for not allowing them to study some chaos vessel that they destroyed. He turns to her, looking her dead in the eye and says, “Hush, witch. Don’t make me kill you.’ God damn still sends shivers down my spine reading that.

Well, I think you're not aware then, that those aren't wolves, but original colonizers of Fenris, that after being gene-modded to be able to survive the harsh climate, devolved and mutated. As such, there are no wolves on Fenris, because those are people. Probably.

@@Miestwin That idea has never been confirmed and since Fenrisian wolves are bigger than both normal wolves and humans it's unlikely that the blending of canid essenses into human genetics would create them. I'm going to offer the counter proposal that the wolves of Fenris aren't wolves because they aren't from Terra. Fenrisian wolves are simply xenos that look like enormous Terran wolves

Logan Grimnar sprinted in terminator armor, making strange noises come from the joints. This means that it wasn't the terminator armor powering Logan, it was Logan powering up the terminator. The inquisition understood that they couldn't mess with Logan Grimnar. I'd love to see the space wolves humbling the minotaurs, these guys are beasts tho. Even a custodes was afraid of their chapter master Chapter master of Minotaurs and Logan are some of the strongest space marine ever. Toghether with Kharn, Sigismund, and Dante I have my opinion, that if the strongest humans can take down an average space marine, then the strongest space marines can take down the average custodes. So yeah, in my opinion Logan has a chance to beat a normal custodes, but that would be a really hard fight

Plot Twist: Khorne planned to give the Axe of Morkai to Logan. As the he is not only the God of Blood but also the God of Martial Pride and Honor. And no one represents these more than Logan ot the Space Wolves. Bloodlust - kills Inquisition leader and grey knight's leaders but still continues to slaughter Martial Pride - Tactically sound in beating Khornate forces plus spared the lives of the Grey Knights and Inquisition after victory Honor - Defended the weak and innocent from the Inquisition

going to be honest, inquisition was in the right during the months of shame. Not even looking at what happened to hospital world guilliman set up because he also took issue with the inquisition's post-chaos executions, in the vary book it happens in several of the ships that the space wolves help escape caused warp incursions before they were destroyed. that said, the inquisition was being really stupid in how they went about it. They should have simply told grimnar that it would be 100% on him and his legion to rehouse, quarantine, and monitor the survivors for chaos corruption and it would fall squarely on the space wolves to deal with whatever comes of it. Could have even offered to take some of the guardsmen in as inquisitorial Regiments as a show of good faith since they could never be allowed to go back to their own worlds.

Even the 5th edition codex and the background created there was alright. But then this whole super-wolf stuff, integration of the Wulfen etc. happened. So basically...the Gray Knights kind of saved the day back then, terminators teleporting in... they never saw it coming (the Daemons). The Gray Knights are a bit too cool for school but...they dont seem to be that much of a secret to some of the other marines. Of course the Inquisition had to step in and fk everything up and make the Gray Knights look kind of stupid in this one.

From what I read the knowledge of the Grey Knights is handed out on a "need to know" base. Once the job is done any surviving Space Marines gets a "free" mind wipe by the Inquisiton to remove that knowledge from memory.

I think its more to do with Fulgrim already being weak, filled with self-doubt and the like. That combine with the prophecy that half of the Primarchs had to fall to chaos. Would imo make Fulgrim more easily corrupted than a staunch chapter master. Primarchs aren't the best at everything remember, for example Drach'nyen itself stated that stars would die before it could even begin to corrupt a single Custodian, but I am sure it could corrupt a Primarch faster.

@@SandmanofTerra But it's still a weapon of Chaos. It's still daemonically corrupted. The only difference is that the Laer Blade had a Daemon of Slaanesh inside it, while the Khornate Axe is IMBUED with the powers of Khorne. It literally has Khorne's power running in the Axe and Logan is not corrupted. I feel like Khorne can corrupt Logan with the snap of his fingers, but for some unknown reasons does not want to.

What I remember all so Logan as well forced Grey knights to tell how they are and what is their chapters purpose at the front of the hole Space Wolfs chapter. And this all so made forced that they and Inquisition cannot mind wipe Wolves when they meet in the battle field. So the Sons of Fenris as well are one of the rare out side of Malleus how know Grey Knights

As a son of Russ, I completely agree with your depiction of Lion's return leading to some suspicion for Russ returning as well. My fan theory has been that the Nachmund Gauntlet falls, leaving the Imperium Nihilus eternally trapped, prompting Russ to return from 10,000 years of fighting in the Eye. My hope, as a hobbyist, is that Loyalists get a primarch model to rival Morty, Magnus and Angron. I want a Beast Primarch! A Russ who has aged, who has been obviously tainted by chaos, but whose honor and virtue make him an undeniable tool for tne imperium. I like that it can undo the recent codex-compliance in a way that would please the long-time wolves players, while also bringing a new moral quandary for the Imperium.

What i dont understand is, even tho it is undoubtedly cool, wouldnt wielding a khornate axe be considered an act of heresy? After all it is a chaos weapon with corruption potential, even after it was reforged it still had chaos energy within it..

Honestly, Wolftime showed Grimnar to be the stupidest space marine yet, and that's saying a lot. They had to resort to the time-honored Black Library tradition of "tell, don't show," calling him charismatic and a superb tactician while repeatedly doing the least sensible thing possible even before Guilliman showed up. I suppose in that way he's a worthy successor to Russ.

At least Grimnar hasn't wiped out a loyal planet or anything I guess...

best character in all of 40k to me, simply calm vibing of all who seek to drive his people off their own course. 1. nothing can go wrong with being delivered grey ultramarines, trained like ultramarines that think like ultramarines, ones that vastly outnumber your own taught marines and then say "oh yeah you have successor chapters, they are gonna act like us BYE!" 2. russ didnt know he could beat horus, (though technically he did win in a duel) a shame t was the first fight after his "im not gonna be a blind weapon for my father" speech to himself. :l though i guess he couldnt have killed horus during the rewrite for obvious reasons lmao.

Space wolves are bigger Mary sues than the ultramarines. They are big and strong, they are wild and can surrender to the beast, but are also master tacticians. They also protect humans from the inquisition, despite being some of the biggest assholes in the loyal legions. I mean the grey knights are Mary sues and a half. But when they are against space wolves they become cannon fodder

The wolftime book is complete garbage (so sad that Chris Wraight didn't write it) and the piece of lore that says that the Axe Morkai still has Khornate power is so extremely silly, any Khornate taint would have been discovered and the axe would have been destroyed.

Lets just say that Third war for Armageddon was very awkward with both Inquisition and Wolfs present on the planet. And when this whole clusterfuck with Celestial Lions happened everyone involved were happy that Wolves were not aware of this situation or things would really become pear shaped for the Imperium forces.
