Part 6: • Khujo Goodie on Crying...
Part 4: • Khujo Goodie on Formin...
Part 1: • Khujo Goodie on His Fa...
In this clip, Khujo Goodie opened up about 2Pac being a huge fan of Goodie Mob, and he detailed meeting him for the first time backstage at The Source Awards. Khujo detailed the surreal moment, and he went on to react to Suge's infamous speech where he dissed Diddy at the awards show. He explained that he knew in that moment that Suge wasn't to be played with after seeing him do something so bold, and Khujo added that he thought it was just industry competition at the time.
From there, Khujo spoke about getting in the studio with 2Pac the day after the awards, and he revealed that Goodie Mob was the first people to hear his diss track, "Hit 'Em Up." To hear more, including 2Pac wanting to be a member of Goodie Mob, hit the above clip.

Facts I'm from PA but love the OLD southern rap music. I see some of these new generation southern guys in the comments thinking that we don't like them. It's not that at all, we just feel that the industry found a way to dumb the culture down with the autotune non-lyrical content that's now coming from the south. I know ya'll have so much more to offer than that. The trap sound was cool especially with Gucci but the masses made it too pop sounding especially with the blended melodies, humming which dumbs down the music. Sure it sounds good but it's too repetitive without any lyrical thought into it

@Slim Fast Sooooo many artists actually broke in the Bay Area first because our independent hip hop scene was one of the most open and we've traditionally always showed artists from everywhere love. You can tell artists love performing here to this day cause we be so turned up and they don't be expecting that at first lol. Now that people can just use social media and the internet to blow up they forget about us until they ready to come out to Cali and get a bag, then all of a sudden they got so much love again smh…..

@Rasheed Lewis LOL, I'm not disrespecting other areas independent/underground scenes but with the Bay and Atlanta in particular those are two areas where u could get your name out there and get a lot of attention from a large audience, almost to the point of having a following that rivaled some of the mainstream acts. There's of course markets and artistic communities everywhere for hip hop though (NYC, Miami, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Houston, LA, etc.)

Pac always had a Southern vibe in his music, to me. It’s a part of him that nobody ever speaks on. Afeni is from the Carolinas. Folk always talk about his ties to East & West, yet he spent a lot of time & made a lot of moves in Atlanta. He also gets more love in the South than he does on both the coasts he’s associated with. Hell, Louisana rappers have used his whole rap style from the late 90’s til this day & it amazes me how nobody notices

Boosie set the tone for the whole Baton Rouge wave. Hell, YB the biggest shit out right now & he always references Tupac. Cmon mane, lol.
