I see you all are judging the lady that she must not blame her father for all that she failed to achieve.. Just because you had strength to get through your situation it doesn't mean the other person who fails to do so is a failure.. We respond differently to situations.. It's more harder when you have no one to talk to.. The lady is positive just that she lacks support and motivation

No offense guys. This girl started doing drugs in year 2010 and only did her matric in 2017. Clearly she started doing drugs in Primary school. Akekho umuntu obhemisa omunye ngenkani, it’s either she gave in to peer pressure, or ukuthanda izinto qha. I’ve been through shit but I knew that drugs don’t fix things they make them worse. In our society there are many young people, especially girls they doing drugs because they think it’s “cool” and if ungawenzi uyimpatha. Let’s not run away from the truth. U girl wahluleka ukuziphathisa okwengane while still in primary school and made the wrong choices manje uthi ubhenyiswe ukungabikhona kwa bab’bwakhe.

Before we judge the first lady..... Let all men out there understand this.... Stop persuing girls for sexual purposes this is what happens at the end, us as parents must be there for our kids and I am not holy I am raising a daughter out of wedlock but I am looking after her and her mom coz I added this burden on them. I don't want my daughter to to go through this ever. This thing is a huge lesson for us as men. To women out there stop falling for us men not knowing our intentions and not knowing your stand point kids suffer the most

The comments towards the first story are rather upsetting but i blame the ignorance on South Africa's education system. Do yourselves a favour, pick up a psychology book and read. People react differently to situations. She already mentioned that the mother is abusive, then no father to possibly be patient with her during adolescence. Listen to understand bantu but for most online bullies is just a matter of running away from your own troubles, being mean to the next person to feel better about yourself. Alcohol is also a drug, smoking just cigarettes is also a form of coping, sex addiction etc. Don't tear the next person down because you haven't done the same. khumbulekhaya should be opening your eyes to such matters. VUKANI HLE

There are lots of primary kids doing drugs in our society because they tryna look and act “cool”. More especially girls. Now that they’re drowning and it’s not cool anymore they blame other people. khethelo xulu People never want to own up for their poor decision making and poor choices. If I could share my story many would cry for days but I didn’t let pain and rejection to stand in my way. I pushed hard enough to be somebody in life. If you never own up to your own mistakes you’ll live the rest of your life blaming the next person because it’s easy to do so. Doing drugs has never been a solution to any problem.

Gracious Sonia Khums Honey, if you’ve done something before and failed. You need to reflect on what made you not pass in the first place. What is it that you can do differently if you attempt the same thing for the 2nd time. Was she studying enough? Did she ask for help from her peers or teachers? Did she dedicate enough time to her studies than spending time with friends doing drugs? If you don’t change how you do things you’ll always get the same results. Determination has to do with the change of attitude and that of doing things. Wearing your school uniform and going to school everyday is part of being determined. Studying hard and making sure that you meet your goals plays a bigger part here. Some people aren’t gifted in academics maybe angenza imisebenzi yezandla like learning a skill into ezomu ngenisela imali like chef, decorating, sewing and so on.

It's a mother's duty to connect a child with his/her father worse when the child is keen to know the other side of her family. If you treat a child differently from the other children then you expect them to be well behaved? It's easy to pass judgement when you are not on someone's shoes. Most moms on this program always support their kids when they are looking for their dads but Lerato's mum failed to say anything on camera....just a few words🤔

Sid Matt You could find that Lerato’s mother is still hurting about the way things turned out between her and Lerato’s father which may result to her not wanting to accompany Lerato in her journey. What I’ve seen in most cases is that some parents start treating their children badly because of their doings. You’d find that Lerato was warned about drugs and hanging with the boys but never listened which is why her mom may react like that. Not that she’s fighting Lerato, but in her mind she’s fighting her behavior and trying to make her aware that what she’s doing as a child doesn’t sit well with her. If Lerato’s father was keen to be part of her daughter’s life he would’ve made means to find her. Not that I’m saying umama ka Lerato u right by not telling Lerato the truth about ubaba wakhe but you can’t blame one parent.

I'll never understand how people blame absent fathers for their failures. My dad wasn't around, I didn't turn to drugs, I finished my matric and pushed to get into uni. Was it hard? Hell yeah. But I know that life is in my hands not my dad's. I hope she realizes this and starts pushing her life. She's still young

I cannot express how much contempt I have firstly, for absentee parents who criticize the present parent and secondly, newly found parents who make promises they clearly have no means of fulfilling, and thirdly absentee parents who not only abandon their young children, but then leave them in the position of seeking them out as broken hearted adults. Have some decency and seek out your children, try to make amends even if you are ultimately rejected. Don't give children your responsibilities as parents, PLEASE!

Not everyone is able to cope without knowing their father. More especially if your mother has little to no affection towards you. Not having her father around probably felt like rejection and as she says her mom never showed her any affection so that probably felt like another rejection. She sounds like she has abandonment issues and that she turned to drugs to cope. Do you know that you can feel like you've been abandoned and rejected whilst living with your mother in the same home. Let's not judge one another based on our own circumstances. No one is the same and therefore not everyone will handle the same problems in the same way.

People cope/react differently to situations but no, everyone is out here being loud and advertising their ignorance
