कौशिक जी, नमस्कार।।आपने जो किस्सा आज बयां किया,वह हैरतअंगेज़ है।यहां तो लोग उनका मुक़ाबला करते नहीं थकते।जबकि स्वंय किशोर दा उन्हें गायकी में अपने से ऊपर स्वीकार कर चुके हैं।मैं यहां एक बात जोड़ना चाहूंगा कि रफ़ी साहब गायकी के साथ एक बेहद नेकदिल और शरीफ इंसान भी थे।मगर किशोर दा तो हरफ़नमौला थे।गायक तो बेजोड़ थे ही,उसके साथ बहुमुखी प्रतिभा के धनी थे। बेहतरीन संगीतकार,निर्माता, निर्देशक, अभिनेता और गीतकार भी थे।मगर मैं उनकी जिस प्रतिभा का दीवाना था और हूं,वह एक कसी हुई टाइमिंग और एक्सप्रेशन के साथ शानदार काॅमेडियन भी थे, लोगों ने उनकी इस प्रतिभा को उतना नहीं सराहा,जिसके वह हकदार थे।मुझे यह बात कहने में कोई संकोच नहीं, कि उनकी जैसी काॅमेडी आज तक कोई नहीं कर पाया।एक ज़माने में कामेडी किंग महमूद साहब जो उस समय हीरो से अधिक फीस लेते थे,और कई हीरो तो फिल्म साइन ही नहीं करते थे,जब मालूम होता था कि उसमें महमूद साहब भी हैं, क्योंकि फिल्म का सारा क्रेडिट तो महमूद साहब ले जाते थे।उन्हीं महमूद साहब ने एक इंटरव्यू में कहा था कि मुझे काॅमेडी में किशोर कुमार से डर लगता है।ऐसी बहुमुखी प्रतिभा को धनी थे किशोर दा।रही बात गायकी की,तो दोनों ही महान गायक थे,बस अंदाज़ और स्टाइल अलग-अलग था।नो कंपीटिशन
