He was so scared of losing him just like 7 years ago, of Wan disappearing right before his eyes just like 7 years ago 😭

The worst part is, it wasn't even about the fact he couldn't reach him. Like if it was just that, he would've just waited and and asked him later (probably still a bit concerned with anxiety approaching). It was the fact that he mentioned LEAVING literally not even 24hours beforehand, spiking his anxiety, not answering what he meant that morning when asked, THEN not picking up any of his calls not being able to reach him. His anxiety was already through the roof and his PTSD triggered. It's terrifying when you don't know what to do or where to go or how to calm down enough to figure any of that stuff out.

Many months passed and I've rewatched it and this scene really cements this series firmly in my heart. This moment felt so real and it showed Ki Tae at his most vulnerable and also the realization of what he went through during those 7 years,beautifully portrayed through these two amazing actors❤

what makes this series extra special and amazing is exactly this. the other side of the coin we don't see. we see the one who have felt neglected or rejected, we see their pain and suffering. we understand their grief and feeling lost that they want nothing but to disappear. but what about the other person? ki tae is that other side, the one who felt lost, unseen, unheard, and misunderstood. he lost lee wan just like a quick breeze of air and he lost all stability of his life. he felt so lost that he started finding his roots with the plants with the single purpose that the plants physically can't leave him. his despair pierced through his body and came out as a scream. he cannot afford losing his true roots, his lee wan once again. he would rather be embarrassed and yell at the top of his lungs wandering mindlessly than to have him disappear again.
