This is the 2024 updated version of the Kia Carnival, and this is the 7-seater High Spec version:
mechanically it remains the same, but it comes with various updates.
Of course we couldn't resist the temptation to give it a shakedown on our favorite mountain road, and so here is the video.

It’s nice Uncle is sharing the driving techniques he uses. The way I was taught to drive is imagine a ribbon flowing in front of the car as far as your limit of vision can see. Try to get the car to follow this ribbon, just like how you see in racing games like Forza. Sudden shocks to the steering wheel is forcing the tyres to lose grip, smooth inputs and feeling the car load up on the tyres gives so much feedback to the driver on the grip levels you have. The technique of using the brakes even when the car is turning into the corner is called trail braking and the difference in grip levels between flat cornering and using trail braking is highly noticeable. This technique is most useful for corners that are initially tight and then open up quickly.

Of course the KA 4 is powerful and comfortable to be driven up to Genting. The question is whether the parking space can accommodate the size or not?

Which one better to drive up Genting and long distance journey Kluang-Seremban-Shah Alam.. Kia Carnival or Alphard.. Thinking to switch to MPV soon. Thanx if u can reply me uncle YS Khong 😊..

If you are driving, the Carnival would be better. If you are passenger the Alphard may be softer. Price wise, the Carnival presents a more attractive proposition.

i absolutely love my 13month new carnival. We have clocked 16km during that time which includes 6 Penang-KL-Penang and 6 Penang-Krabi-Penang excursions. Friends with Alphards and other Alphard drivers I've spoken to says that the Carnival is a much more stable drive, with fantastic handling on highway bends, this is in part due to the dimensions. The carnival is wider and longer, but shorter in height than an Alphard class MPV, though the carnival has a higher ground clearance similar to an SUV. It is also much more fuel efficient. A full tank of 70litres will give about 1000km highway and about 650km daily town driving. The high torque and near full power at low revs, 1700-2000rpm, allows for a more responsive take-off and overall driving enjoyment. Admittedly the 16ft 11in length is pretty long and also wide. This creates a voluminous and comfy interior, and great presence for highway driving, but not so great for parking. The interior quality and comfort is also excellent. I personally don't feel that the comfort quality in other comparable MPVs are worth rm150k-200k more than what the carnival provides.

Highly recommended driven it during Melbourne road trip to Great Ocean Rd and snow mountains. Handle better than Toyota or Honda

Ive owned Kia 8 seater. For normal town driving and bumpy road. its a bit bouncing. Any idea to improve it more comfortably?

I would check the tyre pressures- the Carnival should not be bouncy.

Depends on what you need. Carnival has 6 to 11 seater. Zenix is hybrid, 7 seater.
