It's a great car I can say that and it's a great value for money. The only problem is it has a lot of wind noise. Specially over 140 Km/H

The manufacturer specs for this car claim 7.4 sec from 0-100 km/h. But in this video seems more like 9 sec to me(from 0:14 to 0:23). Maybe I'm a bit wrong, but even so it's still far from 7.4 and the driver looks like shifting gears pretty well. Am I wrong?

The noise of this car is strange. It's so quiet in low revs. So calm. I didn't get much noise out of the one I recently reviewed unless I was red-lining it.

Looking at the way the boost drops as the revs get to a certain point, this might indicate that there's some sort of boost limiting being implemented. If I'm correct, this may open the door to raising the maximum boost pressure, and being able to squeeze more power, out of say 100 octane fuel...

It's just tuned to give better midrange and low end torque, meaning if you're driving a manual, you rarely have to red line it to get it to accelerate fast in daily driving. Saving you petrol in the process.

Quite rare in the UK, only a handful for sale on Auto Trader. Good value and proper natural sound, no fake noise pumped into the cabin, I feckin hate that.

One of these retrofitted into a Kia Rio would be perfect. Does anyone know if there is a non turbo version of the display or can the turbo be switched off And What is the part number for this cluster if the turbo option can be switched off. Otherwise, a part number for a non turbo version of this cluster. Thanks.

While the gas consumption is abit disturbing, please keep in mind that the car is reving a 6000 RPM on full throttle. The injectors would be wide open and constantly spraying fuel into the cylinders. The engine would certainly burn a lot of gas..

Press the gt button on the steering wheel. But i think only the real GT's have it

I got a Kia Ceed GT as well - but mine is way faster from 0-100 and even to 200. I have a 0-100 timer in my GPS and it said 7,0. It's 100% standard and i'm driving on Shell V-power 99 Fuel thats it.

+Stefan Sorensen hahah thats what everyone says and thinks about their car, even if you managed to get a couple of miliseconds to a 100 off, it doesnt really help the 0-200 speed, which is 35 seconds (very slow)

They way i see it it starts to slow down the tempo after 175 km/h, this is is where i think the leon gains. Is this observation correct?

I have hyundai i30 GDI 135hp, Im disapointed also... Its good looking car, with grea electronics... but the motors are horrible! High consuption (over 8l city, 7,5 highway) with no power!. My car is 2013 and Im lready looking for new one. Probably the new Seat Leon FR

Točíte nové videa na jiném místě? Nemohl jsem si nevšimnout, že vaše starší videa byla zkreslená, protože co jsem si všiml, tak jste vždy měli až zázračně rychlé auta. časy zrychlení, které jste dosahovali byli až přehnaně rychlá.

To be more precise, it 63 km, given the fuel tank is about 52l a quarter is 13l giving an average fuel consumption of 20.6 l/100 km, damn...

7.6 секунд до сотни разгоняется по паспорту. ну у водилы 8 секунд где-то. он не давит тапку в пол. если бы хотя бы за 7 секунд сотку набирал, я бы купил сид. вялая какая-то машина. кое-как разгоняется до 200. ей бы 250 сил.а не 204 как заявлено. в ней думаю нет 204 сил. от силы 185 сил.

у него пробег всего 1500 - она обкатку еще не прошла. На обкатке у нее стоит принудительный электронный блок, чтобы не наваливали. После прохождения обкатки судя по отзывам владельцев едет гораздо бодрее

19DaRiO95 I can see that. I ain't retarded man. Downsizing just doesn't make sence to me. All they do is put small engine and supercharge it. What are the upsides of that solution? Wouldn't you preffer good old V6 or V8 under the hood?

RobVln of course! downsizing sucks ass! i also drive a hyundai tiburon 2.7 V6 with ONLY 175hp, but its still faster than this cee'd GT with over 200hp. but you notice the difference in fuel consumption. this boosted 1.6l never needs as much gas as an old V6 with the same horsepower... but it makes the engine unreliable. look at the new VW TFSI engines, they dont even last 100'000km...

19DaRiO95 VW group TFSI engines are terrible and under no circumstances should they be used to gauge the reliability of small engines. Small turbo engines from Nissan Europe, BMW/Mini, Citroen, Opel, Ford UK etc. are actually very reliable AND economical. Diesels especially. These small engines easily hit 200,000km+ as shown in countless Taxis. RobVln 20L/100km (11MPG American) is indeed very low, but he's flooring it right to the red line. V6s get around 25mpg (real world) or less just under normal driving, where this engine and many like it will hit 40+ quite happily. So the obvious upside is, quite obviously, double the fuel economy whilst still having a very good turn of pace AND loads of torque at the low end that you just wont get in a normally aspirated engine.

19DaRiO95 I also have the same 2.7 V6 engine in my 2009 KIA Sportage. Yes, its a bit thirsty, but its very smooth and it has enough power for daily driving. But I think that those downsized engines would be as thirsty as this V6 if they had to move the same car at the same speed. There is a big difference between moving 1.300kg aerodynamicly shaped car (like ceed) and moving 1,700kg car with aerodynamics of a brick on a highway at 130km/h...

TTdexter No, they are not as thirsty as the V6 in the absolute slightest. The car in the video has obviously been in a long, low gear thrashing session and in no way shows real world driving. 4Cyl engine here can pull very cleanly (especially good Diesels) and achieve well north of 40mpg.
