In my family we have owned 10 Kias and have had no issues in getting service. Very few issues with any of them.Our dealership has always treated us very fairly.

You say that Kia puts the customers first I purchased a 2023 Phev and took it to the dealership said my complaint the service writer listened and thinking he had it correct on what he said when closing looks like we have to charge it first I said yes. 5 hours later they say my car is ready. They did not check it electric as was supposed to they ran it on gas engine. It never has problems on gas then they say don’t have time to check it. After having it set out side 2 hours and 45 minutes. They don’t want to look for a problem. That they can’t fix.

Why would you want 'gasoline' in a commercial vehicle? They have way less low end torque for carrying loads on gradients, less fuel efficient, engines are built weaker because they don't need to carry the stresses of a diesel engine, have a much shorter lifespan, are more expensive to service. Gasoline is fine for a light and less stressed car but a poor choice for a work vehicle.

I have been hoping for a Kia pickup. I have loved my Kia Optima. I am especially interested in a pickup with a better warranty. My biggest concern is if it will come in a crew cab and long bed version.

I don't change gasoline for electric, many things can fail, it's all electronic, many problems can happen.

This is destined for the Australian/ New Zealand market. A lot of Australian input into the Tasman, that is the sea between New Zealand and Australia. For both countries they are talking a 3 litre diesel

It would have to cost 15 k out the door 4x4 with 7 year 100 k warranty. Meet those standards with a option for turbo for under 25 k. You will be the next yota

A friend had an engine go bad in her kia. There's a big problem with their engines, and kia would not warranty it. They wanted 10k to replace the engine.

Are the drivetrain and battery on the EV covered by the warranty. 7 years is a long time for a battery of any kind. 20-30k for a replacement is quite a bit in today's economy. Are they emp proof?

Not really foreign anymore. Plants in the US already. The big 3 have trucks made in Mexico and Canada. I am not interested in a electric vehicle period!

seriously 2.2 liter diesel with under 400nm 3.1ton towing, won't cut it in Australia, minimum 500nm & 3.5 ton towing with the capability to upgrade GVM & you can shove the EV up your clacker,

The narrator keeps bashing on and on about range and how in his words 220miles in one charge is insane !! Well when you drive long distance as I do and by that I mean country to country across Eastern Europe then 220 miles is nothing, I usually drive around 500+ miles before having to stop to refuel my 3L Diesel, these days I usually make one stop over which makes getting to my destination quick, but if I were to have to refuel every 220 mile it would take a lot longer to reach my destination, also is 220 miles guaranteed even if I use other electical compliances, and the weather can affect an EV too

The electric version is no better than any other EV so not worth considering. As for the ICE versions they will need to be cheaper than Ford and Toyota or they won’t do very well.

this would be a bad product for US, it would be underpowered in terms of ICE options compared to every competitor in mid-size market. Plus the mid-size market is not really that strong here...in the US the Maverick is selling well and the Santa Cruz is not to far behind, Kia would be wise to look at those and then just take a Sorento body and put it on a Telluride "chassis" as it were then put a bed after the rear doors. The Sorento has a far better build quality than the Maverick or Bronco Sport, more options, more HP and very importantly the torque of that 2.5 turbo is stellar. there are also 2 hybrid options. The Sorento is also Kia's best looking vehicle right now, and having something that looks better than the Santa Cruz would be a nice way to ensure good sales. Using existing products would keep costs down as well...this is the way to go in the US anyway.

You can’t do that, you’re making way too much sense. We need designers and engineers who have no clue what the public wants. Strip out all of the crap and bring it the basics and most reliable features of your line and combine them into your fleet. No harm is using the best possible combination of different models.

In Australia many years ago Kia sold a van in Australia to take on the Toyota Hisce there are plenty of older Hiaces still driving around but what reminded me of the Kia van l saw one l forgot about them they just disappeared but the Hiace.didn't still driving around and this Kia probably will suffer the same fate and take on the Hilux l don't think so

Kia has consistently been rated as the most reliable cars sold in the US for several years now. They have also been the most successful brand with the highest growth. Anyone claiming that Kia is unreliable is living in the past. The Telluride has been a top seller since its release about 3 years ago. The demand for this SUV hasn’t slowed.
