Stinger GT has to be the greatest car I’ve ever owned. Such a thrill to drive, yet such an amazing daily commuter as well. I even used it to bring home an 8 foot ladder from Lowe’s. R.I.P stinger, you will truly be missed.

Bought my 2022 Stinger GT2 twin turbo May 2022. Red leather interior, tilt-up open sunroof, fully loaded. 20's on the back, 18's on the front, Brembo brakes, etc. Ceramic Silver! This car is a beast . . . 0-60 in 4.2! I'm almost 70 yrs old and was raised on a drag strip. But no way I'm going to put this baby on the strip or do stupid donuts. I just love when a Charger or Camero pulls up beside me & gives me a thumbs up! Likely the last car I'll ever own and going to love every minute of it!!!

I've never been a massive Kia fan, but the Stinger... It hit all the buttons for me. This car, this film, perfectly encapsulates the amount of love and passion that went into the Stinger, and as such will give back to its owners. I'm a little teary eyed, this is an incredible tribute video. In an ideal world, the Stinger would live on forever, but the market unfortunately says otherwise. Bravo, Kia. I hope future generations recognise how amazing this car is.

Not me fighting from balling my eyes out 😭 I remember the first stinger I ever seen in person a 2018 GT2 AWD in Hi-chroma red the Stinger the car That showed the world that Kia can build a premium luxury sport sedan a car that put everyone on notice from the consumer’s to other car companies a car that changed a lot of people perception on the Kia brand this car will be missed

The EV push is necessary. First off all, you know the drill, climate change. Like it or believe it or not, our planet is warming faster than ever and will effect (and is currently effecting) all aspects of life. From food production, severe weather, it’s all here. Also, to the people who say that gas cars should never be gotten rid of. At the rate of our consumption of oil, gas, and coal, they all have a lifespan based on current supply and demand estimates. It is predicted that oil will last up to 50 years, natural gas 50-80 years, and coal 100+ years. While you may not like it, this ultimately has to happen.

Bel hommage pour la Kia Stinger. Une excellente berline sportive qui n'a pas eu le succès qu'elle méritait face au S5 et 340i. Si, j'avais eu les moyens financiers, j'en aurais acheté une immédiatement. La Kia EV6 GT a l'air d'être une très bonne électrique puissante et haut de gamme ; mais le bruit du V6, les vibrations qui remontent dans les sièges et le volant lorsque le moteur hurle, l'odeur du moteur très chaud, les cliquetis de l'échappement après des tours sur circuit, tout ceci sont des remontées d'informations qui resteront incomparable par rapport à l'électrique... Actuellement, je suis conducteur d'une Proceed après avoir eu une Cee'd SW...

Man I am a huge Kia fan. Have had five Kias in the family. Got two kias in my driveway right now. Makes me wanna trade in my 2019 Forte for a tribute edition stinger. This was such a well-done video. Stinger was a ground breaking for vehicle and put Kia on the performance car map and into the hearts of car enthusiasts. It finished the job the Optima started and the EV6 will continue. Bring back the second gen stinger with the retired tau 5.0L v8? Good things don't have to end Kia. I also think that the Stinger will be sought after years after production ends because there wasn't a large true rwd/awd sports sedan like the stinger from a mainstream brand. It was peerless. A unicorn. A car people will treasure for years to come like the Mark 4 Supra.

People get the impression that EV’s are weak, wimpy, and incapable of gas counterparts. When in reality, EV’s are and can be performance vehicles, virtually outdoing hp compared to many gas models. Not to mention that they have more stability, with a lot of EV’s having standard AWD and dual motors.

Kia completely changed once the Stinger was revealed in '17. Probably their most important vehicle since the first Spectra. Really love what Kia/Hyundai/Genesis are doing with their current lineup.

This is a wonderful video. However, I do not see the EV6 as an electric equivalent to the Stinger given the body style. A bigger hatchback version of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 would be more fitting. I am dreading when my lease comes to an end. I will probably have to buy my Stinger out as there is not a good alternative gas or electric.

@@labaom If you google Kia's upcoming EV lineup, there is a timeline and a bunch of silhouettes - including one that looks super promising. Upon searching again, the 2023 one seems to be a China-targeted one, so '24 & '26 are where I'm crossing my fingers.

@@andersteilmann8005 EVs just take to the extreme the problem modern cars have for car enthusiasts. They're more like a cellphone then a desktop That is you buy a cellphone for a purpose and you really can't do anything with it beyond use it how it was intended. They're not designed for you to replace parts. They're designed for you to replace the car. The exception to this is custom kit cars people make to convert a older car to electric. But to many a car enthusiast there's way more to it then just performance. If that was the case you'd just get a sub 2 second Tesla and be done. But for many car enthusiasts there's way more value in a car that was a 10 second car now a 5 second car because you built it yourself modifying it to be 5 seconds. And that, that is more valuable then buying a off the shelf car with the performance baked in at the factory. All of the modern cars have this problem to some level, but EVs just take it to the logical extreme.

@@SilverStarHeggisist I don’t think we are that far apart. 😊 You are obviously right in what you are saying, and I think it has to be emphasised that not all car enthusiasts are the same, and for some of us, the EV6 GT really is a drivers car… and we don’t care if you can tweak it or not. My only point was… don’t dismiss it until you’ve driven it! 😊 If you haven’t been driving the car, you can’t tell how it drives, but only imagine how it drives. There are already quite a lot of former Stinger owners, who have switched to the EV6 GT, and by they way the describe the car, an overwhelming majority of them are not disappointed at all. 😊 But hey… if you’re not into EVs it’s totally fine, there are plenty of other nice cars to buy. 👍😊

@@andersteilmann8005 I'm into tweeking and modifying. I spend more time working on my trucks when I do driving them. My vehicles because of this become irreplaceable one of a kind creations. It's not about the performance for me but about the process to get there. I guess the overly simplified way of putting it is "anyone can buy a fast car, but not everyone can build one"

I almost couldn't like this video because the Stinger/G70 line brought the sports sedan back to the masses, even if it didn't quite make the waves it should have. It stretched the value play for what a sports sedan should cost and what you should get for that money and put a serious threat to much more storied contenders. This is an excellent homage to a car that the world needed to see from a truly innovative automaker. Well done.

I own a 2019 Stinger... It will be the last car I buy... unless Kia comes out with an all-electric Stinger. THAT'S A HINT KIA... RESURRECT THE STINGER AS AN EV!

If you own a Kia stinger, please preserve it. I think it's bound to be a future classic even a collectable in a ev future. Even the coveted 90s supra was discontinued because of poor sales when it was new. For many of this generation, it will be the car that got away.

Why did you buy a Stinger? AWD, 4 doors, hatch, 368hp, looks like nothing else on the highway, just north of $40k. Nobody ever has a comeback for that

I remember going to the Javits center in 2018 at the NY autshow. Looking at the Kia stinger. when it was a brand new car. Thinking that is coming up on 5 years ago now. I'll shed a tear or 2 for the stinger. It'll forever be beloved in our hearts by all, live on Stinger. Live on.
